The Wojo apologists are finally facing reality and want this guy to take a hike. Losses in the next 2 games should ice the deal.
A win against St. Johns will have the Projo faction out in full force, and Marquette will probably make the tourney with a .500 conference record.
Mediocrity forever . . .

I'm already awaiting the cheeks thread about how he predicted this loss and everything is going to plan
Why would they beat SJU at MSG? They will get curb stomped like Creighton.

It writes itself.
This game had a Dukiet feel. And that's not a good feeling. I don't know what to say anymore. I'll watch Saturday and then let the chips fall where they may.
I hate to say it it but it's best we lose the St Johns game

Blah blah blah, it's a big East road game those are hard to win, bad matchup I saw coming, I predicted 1-3 when I was having dinner in LA with some sports executives, we're still in the tournament and that will be two straight seasons, no one in their right mind would want to come to Milwaukee to coach with those expectations, blah blah crapshoot, upward trajectory, it took Jay Wright and coach K 65 years to do anything good, incomplete body of work and we need consistency to grow the program and our fans suck.
I think I got it all.

LOL! Good stuff. Thanks for a laugh on this sad MU day.

You forgot, "All the pants pissers on here want to tear down everything we've built to start over, just so they can look for a unicorn. Well I say BULLSHAT! BULLSHAT! BULLSHAT!"
P.S. I think "BULLSHAT! BULLSHAT! BULLSHAT!" is Scoop's version of TORA! TORA! TORA!

Yeah, I get this. I just don't know if fans or universities have the fortitude anymore to give a coach space to grow. Admittedly, sometimes that's for the best.
Each loss at this point is just a trigger for the nojo camp, which frankly I'm in and out of, no matter how the game played out (last night, MU played lights out defense and the supporting cast came up woefully short on offense again). We're all frustrated. Fact of the matter is the Hausers really put this team in a bind offensively by jetting and we're now seeing this magnified at the end of the season.
All that aside, I'm going to give this team my full throttled support this month (and April ;D) while eagerly awaiting how this team plays more as a unit next year with more talent spread across different positions.

Another name change for Jamie! Well done.
Was Jamie given a vacation? He's been awfully quiet. This is an all hands on deck situation, all vacations should be suspended. We need Scoop at 100%!
The university has been extremely patient with Wojo. They have given him 6 years to grow into the job with all of the support and resources that they could have possibly offered him. They've given him two contract extensions, unwavering public support, and paid him far more than anyone else at the university.
In the 6 years he has demonstrated:
- He can't put a complete roster together
- He fails to recognize or is unable to adapt the game plan during games to adjust to obvious strategic advantages that opponents figure out on either side of the ball
- His teams collapse during critical stretches of the season
- His teams have been unprepared to the point of being absolutely non-competitive in the two games (in six years) they've had in the NCAA tournament
- He seems to have thin skin and takes poorly to criticism, which is an absolute hindrance to his supposed growth
And the worst part is none of it appears to be getting any better. There ISN'T growth, the trend is in the wrong direction.
The kids coming in next year may very well be great kids and great basketball players. But is the coach we currently have going to get anything out of them beyond what we've seen over the majority of the last decade that he's been in charge?
And besides, there is no guarantee that all of them go elsewhere if Wojo either cuts bait or is shown the door.

In this time of anguish, I am in desperate need of the appropriate nuanced perspective that only Chicos is able to provide.

I'm all for hating on Wojo but it's disingenuous to say 2 ncaa games in 6 years when we haven't finished year 6

You mean.....at what proper angle to bend over when Wojo enters the room or how many nights a week is fair to give the wife a free pass to be with the floor slapper?

That's true, thanks for pointing that out.
