Recruit some guards that can handle the ball and do not turn it over.Move Koby to Sacar role next year and go recruit Mike Smith to run the show. With the last two scholarships get a shooter and either another guard who can dribble or a back up to Theo.
And an experienced game planning / game day assistant coach.

He's needed this for years.
My honest belief? He spent his entire adult life at Duke under a totalitarian coach. The thought of a more seasoned, knowledgeable X and Os guy doesn't jive with that, need energetic recruiting younger assistants to defer to him and his HC ego
x and o and assistant Coaches is not the problem.18 turnovers and 4 assists. You need guards that can dribble and run the offense. How would this team be if Tony Miller was the point guard. That is the problem.Just look at Providence.Pipkins is coming on running the show and it makes a big difference

Kind of amazing that Wojo has essentially recruited two point guards (Carter, Torrence) in six years.
Whether its poor coaching, poor talent evaluation or failure to recognize that basketball teams need point guards......... all roads lead to Wojo.
(You'd think a former PG would value the PG position. Unbelievable)
Said earlier this season, I would advise him to move on. He could land a gig and have another six years of no pressure. He could set up his family for a long time. If he stays here much longer he might end up a high school coach.

Rob Judson......

You folks are talking like the season is over.
If the point guard position is not figured out the season is over.
Resign.

I think Markus, Rowsey, Koby and Elliott show he's been after more of a combo pg but unfortunately only Rowsey had a decent handle

Judson is a failed HC and was demoted to DOBO 5 years ago. May be a great guy and a capable "special assistant" but I don't think that's the guy to groom Wojo to not be overwhelmed in game

A bit dramatic?
The thread is about "advice for Coach Wojo"; not "now that the season is over...."
Don't let the door hit you in the a%% on the way out!

This season is far from over, but some of us would like to see sustained good play. This team has had some moments and I have noted those in here. It would be nice to see a program that plays solid ball game in and game out.
I said a couple days of weeks ago this team could get hot and win a couple of games in March. Not confident on that, but would not shock me. Again, I would prefer a real solid program over catching lightning in a bottle.

In your opinion, does symir fit this?

Yeah we need another coach to make up for Wojos piss poor performance.
Wojo, it is way past fish or cut bait time.
Wojo, we are pleased with your consistent predictable end of season slides. After all, consistency matters in coaching.

Jfc I hope this is sarcasm
He's not going anywhere. No matter what an internet message board says.
One week ago, he was coaching a top 20 team.
Everyone needs to relax.
Yeah!!! We were top 20 for 1 week this season. Hang the banner!!!!!

It would be nice to see this program win solidly down the stretch at crunch time of the year instead of slip sliding away in Feb. and March.

Fair enough. But what if we don't? They are hardly easy wins.

If this ends anything like last season I will probably be on the fire wojo wagon but well see what happens

I am not there yet but getting close. When a coach says we played scared I wonder WTF is going on.

I'd still give him next year but boy his seat would be hot as hell. (Tough to fire a coach after making the Tourney)
Yeah anything less than a 2-2 finish that earns a single digit seed and I'll be leaning that way as well.
I'm not sure you could actually fire him. Firing a coach that's made 3 tournaments in 4 seasons probably scares off some potential replacements. But there are definitely some warning signs.

That's my thought. You'd need to wait till another program comes calling and not make a counter offer to keep him.
