Title: Teeth Whitning
Post by: withoutbias on February 21, 2020, 10:25:41 PM
Has anybody found anything that works well? Tried Crest 3D White and didn’t think they worked. Used iSmile or something like that and my teeth were sensitive to that.

Anybody have any recommendations for things that work well?

Getting a properly fitted/custom mouthguard or tray is key. Then you just get the gel refills on Amazon. If you’re too sensitive to the gel, maybe get a lower strength otherwise not sure. In my experience the strips don’t do much other than improving maybe a half shade

we've used the opalescence in a custom tray for many years with nice, predictable results.  very few sensitivity complaints.  if you do experience sensitivity, get the prevident toothpaste, not to brush with, but to apply/slather on your teeth a few times a night in between whitening.  the prevident is an RX product and will need to get from your dentist.  a little more expensive, but if it saves one cavity or allows you to bleach, it's well worth it

You might want to consider dentures

Tough to get those nasty brown stains from bovine release off the pearly whites, eh?
