Title: A Great View Of The Bailey Knockout Punch
Post by: bradforster on February 09, 2020, 06:53:05 PM
This is the dagger vs. Butler and it captures a vociferous crowd on National Marquette Day!

Brad I'm glad you posted that.  Awesome moment for BB.  You could see how excited he was by the reaction.

We had 4 Butler fans next to us that wouldn't put them on.  They also completely ignored the rule about waiting until stoppage in play before going to and from their seats.

209 row 12. Actually it was more like 6 next to us. Every time I would think they were all back, another would show up.
Though what was worse was the woman MU presumably, not Butler)behind us asked us to sit down when there were about two minutes or so left in the game, I think everyone stood cheering  during a timeout, and apparently we didn't sit down fast enough. I mean, two minutes left, cheering, in what had become a blowout....

These are nice Brad.  I always enjoy these.  I assume you do the voice-overs post-production and not in your seat?

They were nice enough guys but I finally had a 'chat' with them. Stoppage of play, my good man.

I don't think that's unique to Butler fans. Even the ushers have told me to go to my seat while play was going on. They seemed confused when I told them I was waiting for a stoppage in play. I miss when they enforced that early on.

I usually wait for the whistle, but that is only because I learned it at the blackhawks games...that is one place you definitely wait for a stoppage. Not sure I have heard anyone get too angry at a basketball game.

Great!  After the shot goes in and you start to pan I can easily pick out chick and I going nuts in our 208 front row seats while next to us 4 depressed Dawg fans slump in their seats.

That was a great moment. It was so nice to see that shot go down. It seems like we have had a lot of opportunities for those dagger shots this year and last (Sam in particular) where the crowd is about to erupt but we have missed the shot many times. That 3rd 3 going down and blowing the game open was awesome. Great video.

I hope they enjoyed paying "ticket broker" prices for the A$$ pounding they got and deserved...

I am pretty sure Lavell did not......

So Sorry.....

One thing I love about going to Blackhawks games is that the ushers do not let you back in until there is a stoppage in play.

I was seated right behind the Marquette bench and did everything, including the commentary, live with my iPhone.  I flew in for the game and thoroughly enjoyed the experience at Fiserv.  I'm glad to be back in the Texas warmth today.  Go MU!

Nice video, . And nice shot of glow and chick -we were at the top, and as we were in the 'blue' section it's too dark to pick us out.
I do note that the not entering until there is a stoppage of play has been going by the wayside for many years now, at baseball and basketball games both -I don't do football, so no clue there. But even though we were at the top with our seats on the aisle, I did wait until there was a basket when I left during a timeout.

Awesome moment, that sealed the game. It felt closer than the margin until that shot.

Yes I agree. We weren't feeling confident either until then.

Haha. Awesome. I would love it if you sat next to me doing play by play all game.

Btw, I was watching some basketball documentary recently (not MU) and I swear it was you doing the play by play in one clip.
