X hits the spot. An in-conference cupcake (hopefully) to help right the canoe.
I'll go with Sacar for SOTG.
Odd feeling without Ed. I'll leave it at that.
GO WARRIORS!!!!!!
THE ANSWER
Yours is more positive. Let's do this one
Stupid call on Theo
Yet another phantom foul call on Theo. Ridiculous.
Great start for us offensively but fouls on Bailey, Johnson and Theo already is not ideal with our depth.
Great intensity keep it up for 40
Dude swishes his second 3 of the year????
If Theo was on defense on his putback he would have been called for the foul
That was a terrible call on Sacar.
We look great. Definite emphasis to feed the big guys/involve them offensively (wake up call with Ed taking leave?), and a lot more cutting to the basket. Nice to see.
is Theo in with two fouls?

Bailey got that other foul on the And 1 I believe.
Theo has got to make those lay ups. Jesus.
Fouls already a big issue.
Two on Koby and Bailey.
Ok. That was probably a foul on Theo...
theo john is an absolute mess right now.
we've said this about other players before on this team.......

He started the game strong. Now since the biffed lay up hes been embarrassed twice with one being a flagarant.
We get up 10 and immediately let a team back into it again...
The guy on Marquette radio's pregame show gave the Seton Hall - Butler halftime score and said, I wouldn't be surprised if Seton Hall comes back and wins that game even though they are down 10
Good call
Great half for Sacar. He needed it and we need him.
I'm getting tired of how these "flagrant fouls" are called.
F1's should be reserved for more than just a hard foul, something intentional. Theo's foul was significant, but it's not like he was trying to punch him or something. His arm got tangled in a basketball move.

But it's a really big arm...

It was reckless tho and thats kinda what differentiates a 1 from a 2.
X doing a better job of earning the fouls they draw. Getting to the line on almost every foul.
Markus has had multiple go down and out this half
Great D to end the half. Unfortunately Jamal didnt realize he had like 6 seconds.
Up 12 is good though

Hard to blame him when the X player chucked up the one handed shot like HE only had a second to get off the shot
Question. At the end of the half Sacar had the ball and went out of bounds. It looked like he was pushed but they just called it Marquette ball.
Am I wrong in thinking either he was pushed out of bounds and there should be a foul on Xavier or he went out of bounds himself and it should be Xavier ball.
How can it possibly be Marquette ball with no foul?
pretty good first half. hopefully we can keep it up. we need this one.....badly

You're correct. But it's not the first time I've seen refs make a similar call.

I assumed I missed a hand of the X player because it sure looked like Sacar carried it out of bounds. Maybe it was a makeup call for the ball he called out on Jayce when Jayce was already running back on defense and the ball went off X
Wes and Giannis in the house. Nice ovation for Wes when they showed highlight video.

At the game with a great view of that play. Sacar was pushed. And that one out of bounds play where it was given to X was ridiculous.
I understand why Markus wants to shoot a 3 to get some awesome momentum, but why shoot a step-back 3 in transition early in the shot clock and you have plenty of open teammmates on the half-court with you? Had a chance to break Xs back with a bucket there and its a missed possession.
Holy cow Jayce is just manhandling Xavier for these rebounds. Fun to see.

Becoming much more than a warm body.
Now if he could just work on his coordination a bit. I still gasp every time someone simply tosses a pass his way.
But his energy is awesome.

Never seen a guy have less lift/elevation yet be a great rebounder....and he is also a major space eater. Nothing pretty about his game but serves a purpose.
I'm glad they don't count style points. I swear, so often Jayce smashes into guys and both lose their balance and the ball drops to Jayce. I'll still take it
That is how a pick and roll is supposed to look!
Symir had his left foot anchored. No travel - bad call.

Truth.
This looks like one of those St John's games we play, only we look like St John's!!!
When Symir settles down after a few more games, he's going to really help Marquette on both ends of the court.

I'm a huge Howard fan but tonight he has not been great. Shooting % is not so good. Wojo has to work on focusing on efficiency.
Very nice performance.
well gotta say that was impressive. a game we should've one, a game we needed to win, and surprisingly we got the job done pretty handily
Greg Elliot in a walking boot and NOT seen at Jimmy John's?!?
Big win. Dominating win. Had to have it.
Is the whole team walking around high 5ing the crowd after the game a new thing?

wife thought the same thing. I believe it's a Wojo era thing
Crazy stat: Seven of the eight players had at least four rebounds and Koby was the low-man with three. Big 46-30 advantage on the glass.

Yea, they've been doing it awhile. At least since being in Fiserv.

Yep. Ever since FF. Easier to do a lap at FF.

That's a winning stat. They have ability; need consistency. Coaching? I think so.
Wojo can coach MU to a high level at times, but he needs consistency. Maturity? Bench help? (who knows, none of us here get paid to help Wojo)
Well for tonight, great game by Wojo and the team. Keeps NCAA hopes alive. MU RAH! RAH!

I know you are busy and can't get to the board to do a mea culpa, so I will do it for you.
The guy you claimed to "be a mess" just put up 10 and 7 with a messed up hand. Great effort by him tonight going up a very physical team when we were down a big.

This.
Plus with Ed now away, we'd only have Jayce at the 5 if Theo had decided to get the surgery and redshirt.
