Title: Net rankings
Post by: Boston Warrior on January 05, 2020, 04:51:27 PM
Marquette jumped 8 spots to number 25 in net rankings by beating Villanova at home. Wisconsin beat Ohio state away and dropped 3 spots to 28. Not sure I understand the logic but we're moving in the right direction.

Not only that, but USC, Davidson, and NDST all have moved up quite a bit recently.  They've all jumped up a quadrant lately.   When you look at our current team sheet, our resume is off to quite a decent start.

We are now:

Q1: 2-3
Q2: 3-0
Q3: 1-0
Q4: 5-0

Wisconsin dropped because their non-conference opponents all struggled and mostly lost this weekend.

The NET ratings still need to work themselves out. The Big 10 had something like 12 teams in the Top 50. Two of which were Illinois and Purdue. Both started the game at 9-5 and looked horrible tonight. Neither should be considered Top 50 team.
