McEwen not playing due to thumb injury.
Should be interesting to see how Sy and Greg play with extended run today.

Yikes. Not what you want to see going into conference play. Was hoping today would be a game where he would get some confidence
Is this Cain's first career start?

No, he had 3 last year. They were just very forgettable.
And apparently one start as a freshman that I don't remember. But it's listed.
Love Bailey and Cain in lineup together. Length.
Great start.
Markus is red hot from deep but also moving the ball to the open man.
The last possession looked like hand check was the defense scheme
Bad feeling there's gonna be an injury with the way CA is playing. There is aggressive and there is out of control
We could be shooting a lot of free throws today.
8 fouls for CA and we are not even 7 minutes in.
Clown announcers keep talking about how the big east is overlooked and there are only 2 big east teams ranked.. dont even mention the fact that what 7 teams are just outside the top 25 receiving votes. Also power 5 this power 5 that. Ooooh the big east has beaten alot of power 5s omg yay. Power powa. So much power
Markus free throw stroke still outta wack!
Gonna be interesting to see how many CA guys foul out at this rate.
Imagine CA guy watching 30 minutes from the bench because he fouled out In the first half.
Markus 25
CAU 24
29 FTA for us
24 total pts for them
I would love to see us keep up that first half effort. A 60-point win would be good for the metrics.

Agreed. I'd like us to sit Markus most of the half but would love to see the boys keep the foot on the gas.

What was the kenpom or net spread? ?
Not a smart play by theo, but I did chuckle.
So Theo is penalized because the rail thin opponent can't catch a pass?

The betting line opened at 24.5 and ended up at 25.5.
So probably in that range
Things I never want to see again:
Markus taking a charge with the team up 39 points.
There is your season highlight
Gorgeous pass

Symir!!!
Symir has taken over!!! (a 50 point game)
Central Arkansas might not be any good, folks 🙃
Not exactly high caliber opposition, but Symir has looked a lot better on defense. The passing...always crisp. A little offense even better. Really nice rotation on that 3
They literally did not want to call a foul there.
Poor Ed
How are there still 11 mins left? This game feels like it has been going forevern

BB has been everywhere today too.
Can someone let Bardo know we have only played 2 roads games and are 1-1?
This dude keeps harping on our road play as if we are 1-5 or something.
Time for the walk-ons.

Agree. No reason to have any legit players on floor at this point..and reward those guys for the work they put in. Come on Steve!
What is the all-time game scoring record? If memory is correct, I thought it was 108 points.
6 away from that with 2:28.
That was legitimately a good move and basket by Gardiner
Beautiful spin move by Tommy G

Would have demolished it, but MU missed 13 free throws.

Well, first... the record wasn't 108.
Second, our FT% was 63.9% and the free throw game for us was GREAT. Why would you point out 13 missed free throws? If we had shot like an average team, we would have TWO more points. Could have made just one more triple and bested that.

I believe 118 against UW-Klotsche in 1969.
More recently, 114 against Grambling in Nov 2013. Otule leading scorer with 17. Steve Taylor next with 16.

^^^ true
Chris and Steve a combined 13/14 2FG in that 2013 game. 8 double-digit scorers, and Toddler with 8. Team only shot 5/18 3FG for 27.8% from 3. Such a bad shooting team.
We followed up the 114 point effort by scoring 35 in a loss to tOSU... and the season went down the crapper.

This is the one bad result I have seen because of the transition from RPI to NET as the primary metric for the selection committee. The NET takes efficiency numbers into account so every single possession matters. I wanted the walk ons in with 4 or 5 minutes left with a game like this. Protects against injuries and rewards hard working kids. But if our lead shrunk from 50 to 35 over the last 5 minutes, it hurts our NET numbers and as silly as it sounds, could cost us a seed line at the end of the season. Since the NET became the primary metric, Wojo has waited until the other team pulled their starters before sending the walk ons in. If Central Arkansas ran their starters the whole game, I don't think the walk ons would have made it in.
I feel for the walk ons but Wojo keeping the foot on the gas is unfortunately the right strategy with the NET. I wish there was some way the coaches could come up with an agreement to pull the starters at the last media timeout if its a 25+ point blow out.
Don't KenPom and T-rank have some sort of shut off when it gets into garbage time, meaning, it stops using the data when walk ones come in?

Not that I'm aware of and I definitely haven't heard of that for NET.

I wouldn't explain it exactly that way, but 'sort of' for T-Rank.
