Hearing chatter that one of our centers has a potentially season ending injury and is planning to pursue a medical hardship waiver. We're at 9/30 games so would likely get in just under the wire.
Not substantiated yet (hence rumor) but where there's smoke...
Discussed on Dodds board.

Not on Dodd's board and didn't see it here, so thought I'd share.
The rumor is that Theo is going to redshirt with a bad hand/wrist. This rumor was out there prior to the K-State game. Dodds said he talked to team officials who had not heard anything like that. Then Theo started.
So, anything is possible, but right now it is just a rumor.

Not official until Theo is sighted in Jimmy Johns with a wrist cast

I heard that before Kansas State, then he was in the starting lineup, so I'd say that it's not smoke, just a dryer vent.

Why are you assuming they don't win any BET games or make a postseason tournament?
B as in B
S as in S
Relax, we got this.
Sounds about right.

Because those games don't count towards a medical waiver. It's only the 30 games on the schedule to start the season.

#FakeNews
#Lies
The Marquette max this year is 10 games. This is based on 31 x 30% = 9.3, round up to 10.
The 31 is based on 30 scheduled games, plus the conference tourney. If you're in a conference that has a conference tourney, that counts as one game -- regardless of how many you actually play (and if you're in a league where not any team makes the conference tourney, it doesn't matter... still counts as one).
If Theo is the center of this rumor, there is no smoke.

I don't know about that. It is specifically mentioned it was a hand/wrist issue. I personally saw Theo writing a letter after Markus dropped 91 in two days. ;D

I don't even know what this means, the fact that Dodd's board has a rumor about Theo having a season ending wrist injury prior to the K-State game in which he started and played THAT is too much smoke? I mean he was playing at the last minute of the game when we largely didn't need him are you insinuating that Wojo was being dumb and dangerous again?
If any player has a legitimate injury and plays after getting that injury it puts the hardship waiver at risk. the waiver isn't guaranteed and to play him right until he can't and still get the waiver is making a lot more likely he wouldn't get the waiver.....so let's just say I am extremely skeptical plus the people who would be blowing up my phone if there was any truth there are not blowing up my phone.
