Hope he's ready by Saturday.
When did he get concussed?
This is problematic for Kstate, which obviously isnt a must win, but certainly an important game especially after our 2 losses so far.

When did he get concussed?
Had to be Monday or Tuesday at practice. I don't recall anything from the Maryland game.

When did he get concussed?
Interesting if it happened before/during Maryland. PURE SPECULATION ALERT: I'm guessing IF that's the case wojo didn't know until after the game.
First team to 40 wins?
Screw Saturday. Let's get the win tonight.
Could get ugly, aina?
Tourney committee: do not count Maryland as a loss, Markus was hurt

He'll be ready to go, if he's ready to go, and I'm pretty sure he wants to go.
Protocol would indicate evaluation still ongoing, so happened yesterday or more likely, today.
Who starts tonight?
bet the under

I agree with this ,also see Symir getting some more minutes.

Who starts tonight?
I could see Jamal. Switch everything 1-4 and have Theo sit back and patrol the paint.
Opportunity for greatness.
Damn, this comes after I laid the 21! Oh well, get right, Markus.
Will be good to see who can step up tonight

youre right. Marquette twitter posted the starting 5
Interesting to see Markus is on the bench. Typically I would expect he would be not in the stadium as it would trigger more symptoms. I would assume he has been symptom free in that case but Marquette is being cautious with a big game Saturday
Load management?

Sorry to disappoint ya, Doc, but Wojo has the guys playing well.

That last 3 ... ouch ...
Wojo told Homer that Markus "banged his head when they got back from Florida."
He is in the protocol and it's up to the Doctors to clear him.

I'd anticipate him being available given that he was in the arena and dancing on made baskets.

This seems like a smokescreen to force Bruce Weber to practice two game plans this week. I'm not a doctor, but I feel like courtside at a basketball game is not where you want a player who you are concerned with having a concussion.
In similar news, Weber announced that one of their starting forwards is a "longshot" to play against us. He's missed the last four games with a knee injury.

Is this like when Jonathan Lucroys wife "dropped a suitcase" on his "hand"?

There you have it. So it's settled. Both Markus and the KState kid will be playing SAT.

So far he's sufficiently cleared to sit on the bench with no restrictions. I'd be surprised if he's not back at practice by Friday and playing Saturday.
Just a couple weeks ago we had posters thinking Jayce was done for the year and others thinking he could've played the first game he missed but Wojo just sat him for precautionary reasons. Turned out it was somewhere in between. Chances are nobody on Scoop knows. I've seen guys miss games after sitting on the bench with concussion like symptoms. Concussion recovery isn't the same for everyone.

Markus had a boot on his head this morning

I remember only one poster saying this ... and then doubling-down ... and then tripling down.

I heard Lucroy punched Randy Wolf in the face and broke his hand.
Maybe Markus ran into Baby Joey and headbutted him...

the fact he was there with the bright lights and loud noise indicates to me it isn't a serious situation. A legit concussion would lead him to have to avoid bright light and likely wear covers over his ears to keep out loud noises.

Kind of true. Newer research has pushed early exposure to lighting and sound to help recovery. I would agree, he didn't look like he was suffering from a lot of the effects, however he was not taxing his cardio system either.
"banged his head when he got back from florida"
well that narrows it down-now i get where the name muSCOOP comes from :D
