Brendan? Sacar? The refs for not calling fouls on us until the last 8 minutes of the game?
Is none allowed?
Every fan who sat through the game and didn't leave early.
Bailey. Solid game from him. Not sure that can be said about anyone else.
edit: Bailey had a hell of a game when you look at the box score. He deserves the SOTG because without him, I think we may have lost.
Gotta be Bailey. Thought about Sacar, but 5 turnovers is just too much.
None of the above.
None
Abstain. Protest.
I don't care
3-1 is what matters on this one
Lesser of evils should not be allowed for something as prestigious as SOTG.
No soup for any MU
Markus, the game plan was clearly to get other guys going in the 1H, then when they turned him loose we opened up the game.
Good to see Bailey get some confidence, Morrow had some nice aggressive plays, as did Elliott. McEwen was solid down the stretch.
I also really liked Symir's run. He's a true PG, understands how and when to get guys the ball in good position. I'd be interested to see what his +/- was today. I hope we see more of him as the year goes on.
Genuinely no one
No one. Simply put, while we won the game, we weren't the better team today. Robert Morris played harder. We stole the game because we had more talent.
Stan... for recruiting Garcia
NO ONE!!!!!
No stud. Maybe the dry cleaners for getting the crap stains out of Wojo's pants.
There was never a single player who played well for more than a few moments. Bailey made some nice choices in the second half. Greg got some nice run in the first half and maybe should have played more in the second. I can't give it to Sacar because he has forgotten how to defend, looks lethargic, and just isn't thinking out there, reminding me of bad JaJuan. Koby had a nice second half.
I will go with Bailey, but there really wasn't a star today.
Bailey, but if nobody gets the SOTG, I'm ok with that too.
I will say that Markus is obviously going out of his way to prove to everyone that he is not a selfish player, but in doing that, he is hurting the team as a whole.
We need Markus to be Markus and he needs to take at least 20 shots a game, in my opinion.
I'm not saying jack up a bunch of selfish, Harden-like shots, but he needs to be aggressive. He passed up at least 3-4 wide open shots today, and what often happens when you pass up open, good shots is that the team ends up turning the ball over on that very posesion, and that's exactly what happened today, especially in the first half......
Markus needs to be Markus going forward, if we are to make the tournament this year
Brendan. Give the guy credit he played better today.
Pass. No one looked good today

+1,000,000
Heldt. It's about time we give him one.
Theo? Cause he showed some improvement with his post game I guess. And altered a lot more shots than blocks he was credited for.
Let's stick with the obvious.
None.
Joey. He didn't get one last year, so this can be like a participation waiver.
Hauser
Bailey
Markus
Brendan Bailey

Markus or Bailey.
Wow. Umm...wow. On the other hand...oh, never mind
Brendan Bailey
Wojo, if he can talk his way out of this one he is a miracle worker.

Remind me what he needs to "talk his way out of"?
None, that was as pathetic a Marquette win as I've ever seen.

Markus or Bailey.
I kinda' liked your post before the edit :) Seriously people - We're gonna put up a SOTG whether you liked how the team won or not. So...a rant of voting "None" is a pretty weak protest.

Nevertheless, I too vote "none".
However, if you wish to issue "participation awards", I can get behind that.
Bailey
This is where Rocky earns his Money.
Bailey.
Have to admit, this is a totally different team without the Hausers. They are still learning how to play together.
The number of turnovers was painful.
Bailey finally came out to play in the second half.
This was just so bad. I really can not imagine how we can honor anyone today. I hate going negative. None the less, participation isn't good enough.

Why do we have to have a SOTG. No one was a "stud" at all in this game. Guess "the rules" have to be followed right?
Bailey.
C'mon people, a win is a win...even an ugly win against a bad team.
True. There have been bad losses before. Maine. NJIT. Green Bay. A bad win is better than a bad loss.

A number of hours ago I suggested in the game thread that there should not be a SOTG.
When the thread opened, I abstained as a protest.
I hate to be seen as being negative, but his was a miserable performance. MU was outhustled.
I agree with nyg that the shuffle outside the 3-pt. circle drives me nuts. It accomplishes nothing!
Some folks have opined that the D wasn't bad, but there were back doors and guys left unattended under the hoop aplenty.
There is a lot to be done. BE opponents will be salivating over today's tapes. The last two games have vividly exposed a lot of our team's shortcomings. I fear that our expectations have been too rosy. I think it's going to be a long winter.
I may be completely off-base about my long-term projections regarding this season, but today's debacle doesn't warrant giving anyone a SOTG. Such a designation is to be won through valor, not a lesser-of-two-evils determination that reminds me of the last 30-40 years of presidential elections.
It's a meaningless message board award. Let's not make it more than that.

And from Feb. 27 on last year, that was a totally different team
with the Hausers.
Bailey. Played the best defense and finally put the ball in the hoop. I was so relieved when he dunked the baseline drive this time. Learning.
It would have been Greg if he made his shots. Played with more hustle and energy than anyone else out there today. He just couldn't sink his open threes.

Of course. And Anim, Bailey, Theo and Morrow, too. And Wojo.
But none of those gentlemen had been mentioned by the poster to whom I responded.

Ban dis guy!
I thought there would be more love for Theo. Solid screens, none moving. Finished well. Made his FTs. Altered many shots. Good to see Bailey do better today also. Pick 'em.
Bailey.

Markus injured his shooting wrist though. What was the Hausers' excuse?

Their wrists also hurt from all the writing they were doing.

Imagine Joey writing a letter without spell check.
The refs. Without the home job we lose.
I want to say Anim for his 14 points, but no assists and 5 turnovers. Howard didn't shoot or distribute well. Despite repeated attempts to get Theo the ball, he only managed 4 shots, 8 points and 4 rebounds. I thought Morrow brought some energy and some points but many turnovers. McEwen defended well and got 5 assists, but 4 turnovers and 20% from the floor despite getting 10 points.
So I'll have to pick Bailey, but he basically had one 2 minute stretch where he played well. He defended well for most of the game but he was the primary guy who was continuously beaten off the dribble as RMU made their last push.
I can see why there are so many votes for nobody because nobody played all that well and we were just lucky we were playing a terrible team at home.
Bailey - he had a solid game, with both drives and dunks and three pointers, solid defense. Scores his usual, we lose. Hopefully this fires him up

Pretty sure that would be that they had to play with Markus. Doh! That aside, Markus shot fine after the wrist injury - Seton Hall just had his number.
