Love it. Not sure we see a lot of him today but definitely better he's back this early.
Excellent news. Happy for him.
Great news. Didn't expect to see him until Orlando. Nice to have additional Theo insurance.
Just a few minutes. Take it slowly. Lower your expectations.

Just enough that Wisconsin has to think about him.
Nice. His contribution this year is important. Bet Bucky didn't plan on the 2 big lineup.

Bet you he plays no less than 10 minutes..I highly doubt they would bring him back right now for a "just in case". Video of him in warm ups, dunking, and running and cutting, looks fine.
Have him in at the start a la Roman Mueller. Just the tip, just for a second, to see how it feels.
I don't ever want to see a Jayce comparison to Roman Muller again.

Just the tip? To see how it feels? Mods, please add NSFW tags to tower's posts in the future! 🤦♂️😂
Unfair comparison. Mea culpa.
Any day you can use a Wedding Crashers quote on a message board is a good day.
Quad-double got Jayce today, book it

you tease you
Looks like this year's version of Matt Heldt -- 3rd stringer who won't play unless John & Morrow are both in foul trouble. Although that could be often when we get into BE play.

Oh god, no.
Set some great screens an was absolutely wide open 5 feet from the basket. Sadly, our ball handlers refuse to pass to wide open rollers.

This is incorrect.

I thought he looked solid and could definitely see 12-15 minutes as a defender/rebounder to keep Theo fresh and eat up minutes when Theo is in foul trouble
Not sure you can draw any other conclusion from such limited run coming off an injury
I think Jayce has to get back into game shape. I think once he is at full speed, it is going to be production based. Do you want to play? Be a defensive presence. Set good screens. Get rebounds. When given the opportunity, attack the rim.

...and very unfair to the kid. Glad he got his feet wet, and look forward to seeing him work his way into the mix. Given our rebounding thus far, he can help fill a big need on this team. We've seen numerous times there is a bit of an acclimation period with transfers. I would expect nothing different with a transfer coming off an injury that sidelined him for a while.

Another reason I feel this is a weak take is we've seen how often transfers sometimes take to acclimate, even those from high major programs. Lockett, Reinhardt, and Carlino all took a few games to work in before they reached their full level of effectiveness.
Trying to judge a transfer coming off injury based on 6 reserve minutes is at best premature.
I think Jayce is going to be our best overall big.
