The 2019 version held up pretty well, so decided to run it back this year.

If you could pick, what's your biggest Known Unkown heading into the season?
Mine is can Koby be efficient and high volume. I think that answer goes a long way to determining our sanity the next few months.
Great point about free throw rate. Drawing fouls going to the basket is a double-whammy for your opponent. As you called out, shooting anything above around 60% from the line is very efficient offense. When the difference between a Top 10 and a Top 20 offense comes down to roughly one possession, even the smallest advantage makes a difference.
At the same time, every single foul hinders the other team's ability to defend and substitute the way they would like. Get two quick fouls on an opponent and he's a non-factor for the rest of the half. Their coach doesn't have as many options for matchups. And fatigue can become an issue.
I'm optimistic that the ability to get to the line will be a strength for MU this season.
