Surprised we arent on there even as honorable mentions.
Like most of the civilized world, they probably have no reason to think we'd ever change the name Warriors.

::) ::) ::)Here we go again...
Truthfully, is there really such a thing as an appealing-looking mascot. I sure can't think of one. Guess they are just fun things which can be made fun of during an event.
Having a real mascot is the way to go. A couple that come to mind are Georgia, and Colorado. Watching that giant buffalo storm the football field is pretty damm cool. Maybe we can get a remote controlled golden eagle that soars through the BC.
I'm flabbergasted that Xavier would use a 2nd rate version of Bleuteaux as a mascot.

Looks like the outcome of Bleauteax and Jabba the Hutt accidently merging in Jeff Goldblum's contraption in the movie "The Fly".
Personally I always thought the Syracuse Orange and Wake Forest Demon Decon were pretty cool. If you've seen the Orange move around it's hilarious.
My all time least favorite is the UCONN Huskie. It looks like a guy in a white sweatsuit with white gloves and a really crappy mask.
My all time favorite would have to be Michigan State and Sparty. The Golden Eagle would come in a close second of course : )
some of these are bad, but some aren't that bad, mb just more weird. i've always thought the burger king could step in for the demon deacon- both are creepy as hell.
The real mascots are cool. I like Buff at Colorado also. How 'bout the tiger at LSU. Air Force has the Falcon and doesn't Army have a donkey?

You mean Ralphie at Colorado. The buffalo's name is Ralphie. Don't know why. And, he's a she!
You got to love keggy the keg. Why was that not an option on our mascot ballot a couple of years ago.
Personally, I found that whole article hilarious, but I think they forgot to include UConn's giant albino weasel thing (mentioned by TallTitan).
As far as cool mascots go, I don't know if this is my favorite, but any mascot that skydives into a football stadium deserves major props. Here's the US Air Force Academy's mascot:
