Don't Lose To DePaul!!!
http://www.crackedsidewalks.com/2019/10/depaul-preview.html
Afternoon bump.
Can you imagine how much it must suck to be a DePaul fan? Last year, they finally get some guys that can score in Strus, Cain, and Olujobi and they all leave. Now they bring back preseason 2nd team All-Big East Paul Reed and still look locked into 10th.
Another good preview. One you could sum up with just one of your sentences: "...any finish higher than 10th would be a massive accomplishment for this team." I'm still a bit baffled as to why all the Marquette Memories are losses.

They aren't all losses (Providence) but there may be a slight psychological trick attempted in that you think more bitterly about rivals when you remember the losses instead of the wins ;)
Want to start your Saturday on a high note? Check out this preview and remember why you're lucky to not be a DePaul fan.
Surprised you chose that Depaul loss not the one that arguably knocked us into the NIT in 2017
Also have the Kansas transfer, Charlie Moore. This is not a bad team. But.....

He's mentioned, but I'm not sure he starts over Gage. They aren't terrible, but I do think they're bottom of the league. And when your worst team isn't that bad, I suppose that's a good thing.

He might not start, but he will have a lot of minutes. Apparently he played very well in DePaul's overseas trip this summer per Dave Leitao in a quote in Blue Ribbon yearbook.

Do we consider booting them at some point for a better school? Is that even a thing? :)

Nah, someone's got to lose. Having 2-3 teams to lose helps us get 6-7 teams in.
DePaul is right where we want them to be as a program. Good enough to have a reasonable computer ranking which helps the league as a whole come tournament time. Good enough to have some wins against the top teams in league play. However, not good enough to be a threat for recruits we want.
The Blue Demons have some quality players on the roster this year and should be not looked at as a guaranteed win by anyone in our conference. I think the key to their season will be how Charlie Moore performs. He had a very good freshman year at Cal but then had a lousy season at Kansas his sophomore year.
