While Markus Howard will break the Marquette scoring record in the next six weeks, there's another NCAA record he will be shooting for around the end of conference play. And that record wouldn't be possible without Central Arkansas.
Oh...and the Bears are a better-than-usual bottom of the resume team that will probably be more competitive in their league than many think.

14-19 (8-10) is their second best season ever? Of course they'll be more competitive than many think. They haven't set the bar very high.

They haven't been D1 that long and their first coaches were pretty bad. That said, more competitive in that I think they're better than T-Rank & Anonymous Eagle have indicated, and if they're as good as I think, they will be one of the best bottom of the resume teams we've had in my memory.
(Afternoon bump)
Second day bump.
We're living in a Howard wonderland after Markus & Jordan broke the brothers' scoring record & now their teams face each other.
Central Arkansas' HC, Russ Pennell, was placed on indefinite leave a few weeks ago. Their assistant Anthony Boone is interim HC. I doubt that impacts the outcome of this game much, but who knows.
