Last year it was a surprise when the Bison made the NCAA Tournament and won a game. Now they are returning almost everyone and go from hunter to hunted. Check out the closest thing on the Marquette non-con schedule to Fresno State, Vermont, or Buffalo on Cracked Sidewalks:

Day two bump for the only buy team that won a game in the NCAA tournament last year.

North Dakota State has done a solid job of channeling their FCS success in football to investing in their basketball program. A decent team to have on the non conference schedule.
Two of North Dakota's state's starters, Sam Griesel and Jared Samuelson, were out of their game yesterday. They are clearly the 4th and 5th starters but the bison have a short bench already. Griesel is definitely out against us and Samuelson is "day to day." NET as far as I know does not factor in injuries. Run up the score against a quality buy game like this and it could help our advanced numbers. (Yes I know NET caps the margin of victory at 10 but "run up the score" is a shorthand way of saying "play very efficiently for all 40 minutes"
Game day bump, expect the Bison to bomb early and often as more than half of their shot attempts come from beyond the arc. Could be a big night for Markus as well.
As of 7:30 am cst, there is apparently no evil needing to be destroyed during this Christmas season
Have 2 Wisconsin players on the team. Jaxon Knotek of River Falls
(3 pts per game) and Tyree Eady of Middleton, avg. 6 pts.
Thanks for these Brew. I read them pre-season and then come back to them on game day. I am always amazed how dead on they are as the game unfolds...and further appreciate all the time you spent on these.
They don't have any great wins yet - in all of their games against higher competition they've shot threes poorly. If they're getting tough shots to fall they may stick around. On the other hand they don't allow any offensive rebounds, if we get a few lucky bounces that could lead to a bigger margin for us. (Kenpom predicts a 15 point margin.)

They did beat East Tennessee State (#68 KenPom) by double digits. East Tennessee State recently beat LSU on the road by double digits. Not a great win by our standards but by summit league standards that's one of the best wins of the season.

Thanks Dr. B. I really enjoy getting to know our opponents and am glad others do as well.
