Thanks for posting. Good read. Also enjoyed the article where Padraig Harrington is critical of Tiger and others not playing any links golf before the upcoming Open championship.
Ed Fiore, wow that was a blast from the past. While Tiger beat himself that week, it's cool for guys like Ed and Rocco Mediate to have these Tiger-slayer tales to tell. I have been to what is now called the John Deere Classic a couple of times, and came away very impressed with how well the tournament was run. Steve Stricker considered it almost his home tournament, and his scores reflected it.
Paddy needs to relax. I'm sure Tiger knows better than he about how best to prepare. Interesting note about how nobody ever mentions how Tiger has to face daily autograph requests from his fellow players and their families before he even faces the great unwashed masses and their demands on his time. At least Tiger has a valid excuse for tinkering with his swing over the years. Paddy "fixed" a swing that won multiple majors.
Tiger knows how to play links golf. Right now, Tiger is all about managing his body. If it is cold, wet, and rainy, I don't think he contends, much like Pebble Beach.
