Heading for browner pastures does not make sense. Any job is greener, if you are about to lose the one you have.
Anyways I voted for leaving for greener pastures.

I'd think any job is browner if you're leaving Marquette ;)
I predict the fate of this thread will be ...

Wojo-Tron?
Does not matter what we think. Takes initiative to fire someone so that will not happen. He has not demonstrated he is Duke material. So Arby's for me.
He announces his retirement in the middle of the 2026-2027 season, goes undefeated and wins the national championship. Retires to become a commentator on Fox Sports. He becomes famous for phrases like:
"They have to play together."
"Defense will win this game."
"They can't trade baskets."

Forgot "Compete ..... compete .... compete !!!!"

reminds me a little of some classic john madden lines-
"the fewer rules a coach has, the fewer rules there are for players to break"
"usually, the team that turns the ball over less, will hold onto the ball more"
"if the quarterback throws the ball in to the endzone and a receiver catches it, it's a touchdown"
"i always used to tell my players that we are here to win! and ya know what al? when ya don't win, ya lose"

Or famous George Thompson lines:
"Homuh... Marquette is losing because they're not putting the ball in the basket enough..."
That said, the only way we get rid of Wojo is at his 2056 retirement party or if some Scooper goes Postal. Not recommending the latter, mind you.
Wojo isn't an Al type coach and never will be. Maybe we would be better off if he got down and duked it out with Joey Hauser! Just saying!
Our university seems to want a winning team that makes the NCAA but lacks the apparent commitment to be what it was in the 1970s. If you look at Al's history and some of the things he did and said, I don't think Al would have made it much past 1970 if today's crowd ran the university back then. They're much more corporate and button-down today. Wojo fits that image to a "t".
I hope I am wrong. But....
