What are the chances we'll learn anything about the non-conf home schedule before ticket decisions need to be made? It'd be nice to at least be assured of a Gavitt game.
Look like our non-con schedule got released July 30th last year: https://twitter.com/MarquetteMBB/status/1023946633250328576

It is confirmed Marquette will be hosting a Gavitt Game.

I want it to be in Minnesota when we play a Gavitt Game on the road.

I believe MSU is excluded from the Gavitt games again this year with their appearance in the Champions Classic which is played the same week. They haven't played once in the 5 years of the Gavitt while every other BigTen team has played at least twice.

I believe each Big 10 team has to play 4 times so I believe MSU is playing every year now.

I feel our chance at either one of those just went out the window. I figure we're about 5th or 6th in the pecking order now.
I will bet MU gets someone like Rutgers or Penn State

Why? They have a returning player who's going to draw eyeballs. I don't think they will be that far down in the pecking order. I'm thinking OSU or Iowa.
I'd be fine with OSU or Iowa. Minnesota is my pick because I think they are a solid team we would have a good chance at beating.

It's not the same week. The Champions Classic is opening night.
The Gavitt Games is in week 2.

Don't think it matters. MSU has been exempt from the Gavitt games every single year because of the champions classic

They haven't been included, but I've never seen any indication they are contractually exempt. Seems like the agreement would require them to play each of the next four years.

Selfishly, I'd rather not draw MN this year as I'd much rather play MN on the road, so I can go!
I want Iowa. With the Hausers on the team. And I want to kick their asses.

Sounds like they've eliminated Iowa from consideration.

CAUSE THEY"RE SCARED!!!!
article from last May as to why the Spartans were exempt last year. Not the same week, but within 4-5 days.

Yet, as I said, the Champions Classic is going into year two of being played on opening night. The Gavitt Games start 7 to 9 days later. Depending on the date.

Worth reading to the end of the article...
Soon, though, something will have to give.
According to the original Gavitt Games announcement, each Big Ten team will participate at least four times in the eight-year history of the event. Michigan State would need to participate every year from 2019-2022 to comply with that.Further, nothing in there says they are exempt, just that they've been left out so far. It'll be interesting to see what they do with Sparty this year.

We should know this answer in the next couple of weeks when the matchups come out.

Indeed. If MSU is left out again, the Big East would seem to have a legit gripe.
The BE wouldn't risk the negative publicity of taking MSU and the B1G to court though if MSU doesn't play. Would they?

Of course not. It's not that big of a deal anyway.
