Title: Good news for Indiana
Post by: NavinRJohnson on January 26, 2008, 02:04:21 PM
This is just one non-conference game (at home no less). Now they can go back to playing their Junior League...I mean Big Ten Schedule.

That loss at UConn looks a little better every day.

anyone who was worried about the UConn game has to be more relieved now. i bet UConn makes a good run in the BE tourny and at least wins a game in the NCAAs

UCONN and Louisvile have the most talented rosters in the BE. Not saying they're necessary the best teams, but their rosters do have the most raw talent of all the 16  BE teams. And they both have a balance of very good frontcourt and backcourt talent, which MU doesn't have right now. It's that kind of balance that gets you deep in the NCAA tourney. That's why it wouldn't surprise me to see either Louisville or UCONN go deep in March. They got Final 4 potential without a doubt.

Wow, maybe that loss at UConn wasn't as bad as it looked at the time...

Thoughts on a IU-MU matchup?

With all guns firing well, we'd match up fairly evenly.

But if Gordon shoots the lights out and White has a field day inside, IU would get the nod.

if Marquette was in the Big Ten... we would walk out the champs, no questions asked... that conference is a joke, if you don't get 10+ wins in the conference, you shouldn't make the tournament... you have Northwestern, Penn St, Michigan, and Iowa to prey on... theres 6-8 wins depending on how many times you play them.

I understand since the Big Ten is all about the pigskin whereas the Big East is all about the roundball.

We may be the champs but our club football team - if they played - would get killed in scrimmages! ;)

if the Big Ten is all about football, thats sad, because they are the laughing stock of football now.
