Buzz - Texas A&M
Crean - Georgia
Have two former MU coaches every faced off before? (maybe O'Neill v Majerus???)
So in five years, who will be perceived as doing a better job?
My answer - Tony Benford at LSU!
(How long until every team in the SEC has a tie to MU?)
Will pull for crean would take "its Indiana it's Indiana" any day over 'I did an analysis and don't feel a mid sized private school is likely to make the Final a four let alone a championship. Plus I don't believe the big east will be strong'
"I listened and I thought, and I listened and I thought"
Complete D*** smoker
Buzz is the overall much better coach, and I'm not sure its close.
Buzz is a better coach than Crean and TAMU is in a better starting position than UGA IMHO.
I think Benford will be at TAMU next year.
Entire house will be cleaned at LSU. Benford will be anywhere but LSU next year

What's taking LSU so long then? I think it's because the dark clouds are still forming and it will take a long while before they clear.
First, they need to fire Wade and get the dispute over his compensation settled (lots of cash involved). Second, no name coach is taking that job until the outcomes are known. Third, when there is that sort of activity in an athletics department, the AD is likely going to get canned/sacrificed too.
Tony is their best option for a year. That said, he might choose to join Buzz on his own to avoid any (further) smears on him.

I would imagine that LSU is exploring the possibility of firing Wade for cause and their chances of prevailing on the subsequent litigation.

I think the next round of federal trials start this month. My (our) point is that it will take a while for the Wade situation to wind down. Right now it is a toxic job and Beneford is (may?) their best short term answer for the next season.
Essentially, LSU is in a holding pattern as is Arizona and Kansas.

This. Numerous outlets have already reported Benford will join Buzz's staff, along with Jamie McNeilly. I'd expect the third name to be Isaac Chew, but probably won't be announced until later so he can recruit without restrictions for a few months.
Continual talk about Buzz Willisms, the phony cowboy who would stay at Mu forever. Who the hell cares what the fraudster is doing now. It sure is not benefitting MU
