You can cheer for them today, but can you on Sunday (assuming victories by MU and TAMU)?

My bosses and I have an understanding. If Marquette and TAMU play in basketball, soccer, or volleyball, I will cheer for Marquette. If Marquette and TAMU play in football I will cheer for TAMU. ;D

They didn't realize MU didn't have a football team when they signed it
Tipoff in about 15 minutes. Nervous about this one...
Go Marquette!!!
Lets hope the women do not waste there successful regular season.
Going for height I guess as Lauren VanKleunen is starting instead of Blockton.
Hmm .. looks like ESPN3:

Are other people in Milwaukee getting the Marquette game on ESPN2? I'm not but was wondering if it had something to do with me having YouTubeTV and that somehow not knowing my location.
I'm watching via ESPN3 but it's pretty delayed which is annoying.
Low scoring game which doesn't bode well for MU - they hold a slim 20-19 lead at the half.

My original post was just reporting what was listed on the ESPN website. If it's not there - my apologies. I have it on Hulu on my phone so not sure.

I wasn't upset with you - sorry if I came across this way. I was just wondering if anyone else in Milwaukee had the game on ESPN2 - was thinking it's a YouTubeTV issue for me.
And I hate ESPN's whip around coverage - they have S. Car-Belmont on ESPN2 for me and S Car is up by 19 - go to a competitive game please. I have the MU game going on my phone...

Didn't come across that way at all. Just informing where I got my information.
Maybe I should just turn this one off - very frustrating. Marquette hasn't even scored 3.5 minutes into the 3rd quarter...
On spectrum, it's in the 1780s. Uninterrupted.
ESPN2 in Milw
What is in the water in Milwaukee right now? Both the men and women have completely forgotten how to shoot.
Just following on phone but YIKES that 3 point% is abominable. But only down one so if they can pull out a low scoring game should be good for their confidence.
They are struggling big time to score today and this one looks to be over with Rice's 50-43 lead with about 3 minutes to go.
tie game. 52-52. Marquette with the ball 20.4 seconds to go after the time out.
Heidiman shot blocked. Rice ball with 0.5 seconds after the TO. 6'9" Mulkey with the block.
Overtime. Rice misses wide open 3 pt shot at buzzer.
Winner. Kieger and Wojo should swap jobs.
Marquette wins 58-54, outscores Rice 6-2 in OT.

Great job MUWBB. Losing their two centers was tough luck but The team went with their strength to move on.
Congrats to the women's team on a nice win. They looked so tiny compared to the Rice players.

I am very happy that I was wrong :). After going down 52-43, Blockton hit a 3 and they continued a 9-0 run to tie it at 52.
Marquette was very lucky Rice didn't win it on a wide open shot at the end of regulation (some kind of breakdown leaving the Rice player that wide open there).
Kudos to Redshirt sophomore Lauren VanKleunen who got the start today due to Rice's height. She had probably her best game of the year drawing some big charges, putting up a nice point total and grabbing an incredibly key offensive rebound near the end of OT with MU clinging to a two point lead.
And with this win, they set a program record for most wins ever with 27 passing the 2006-07 team's 26 wins.

She did a nice job versus that giant Mulkey. She didn't have much touch around the hoop.
Congratulations to the women. Hard fought game.
with all their senior leadership, it was the two starting sophomores in VanKleunen and Lott that kept them within striking distance.
Allowed the seniors to step up near the end and contribute in the comeback.
MU women play Texas A+M Sun, Mar 24 1pm (CDT) ESPN2 8-)
Have a feeling that game is going to get ugly.

It will if they play like they did against Rice. But if they can play like they did against St. John's in the Big East Tourney, they have a shot today.
Go Marquette!!!
The only BE team left alive in NCAA tournament play!
