Right ahead of Wardle and Tony Benford

I'm honestly surprised how few have NBA experience.

Number 6.

To be clear, Wojo is #6, Wardle is #7 (of 68)

Mullins (StJ)
Dawkins (UCF)
Bobby Hurley (ASU)
Tony Bennett (UVa)
Lon Kruger (Okla St)
Wojo
Wardle

What is most surprising (to me) is Buzz at 57.  11 coaches were worse college players than Buzz??? (#68 is Bruce Pearl)

I thought that Wardle was on the team that lost to PC in the NCAA?

Nope, he was at Marquette from Fall 1997 to Spring 2001. Loss to Providence was Spring 1997 when he was a senior in high school.

This was Wardle's first trip ever.

Not as a player (end of Deane, beginning of Crean),

Not as an assistant (post Wade, pre Wes),

Not as a HC (won a lot of horizon regular season games but not enough in March).

It was an incredibly unlucky streak that mercifully came to an end.

That explains why the St. John's players haven't been taught anything

Most of those 11 only played in high school.

As someone who has watched multiple clinics from PGA tour players, I can say that other than Phil, very few of these guys can articulate the nuances of the swing to the common golfer. Tiger is extremely articulate, but what he is focused on is beyond the abilities of the average chop.

Apples and oranges I guess, but maybe not.

Buzz got the advantage because he claimed he could have played at one of several bible colleges, which I am not sure is more prestigious than playing in high school.
