Title: JS gets it wrong.
Post by: WhiteTrash on March 17, 2019, 12:22:23 PM
From Ben Steele: " The game went off the rails when Powell was fouled on a layup attempt with MU holding a 53-50 lead and 13:15 remaining."

He was not going for a layup, he passed the ball. I wish these guys would actually watch the game they are reporting on. Lazy.

Steele is good, this is intensely nit-picky

I watched the replay again of this play...and the scrum shouldn't have even happened.  Powell's carry to start the play and get his jump on Sacar was over/at the shoulder level. Just another blatantly bad missed call by these clowns (he was actually called for it versus Nova and it is actually a dangerous play for the defender with the extra momentum he gets on it as he uses it to bump and clear out). Powell will be called for traveling in the NCAAs with that move. It's illegal.

Maybe, but if your going to pick out a game changing play you should probably get the facts correct.

Sadly, the JS is irrelevant now so I will move on.

What do you call it when a league puts "clowns" in positions of responsibility, trust and power?

Really picky. Right to your opinion.

My opinion. Steele has been beyond what I ever expected and has been great as the MU best writer. I wouldn't trade him for most anyone.
