There are so many teams in our league that have blue as one of their colors that I don't think that (despite having an impressive array of blue MU gear) wearing blue lets us stand out.
My feeling is that the boys perceive support in the stands by the gold that they see (in addition to the noise level, of course, but we are likely to be the "visitors" in most of our BET games, hailing from a different time zone and all). While I was not impressed with Gold as a team nickname (how long did that last, 4 days?) I do think that the color delineates MU supporters.
My wife won't wear it because she thinks it's a color she doesn't look good in (crazy), but I think it helps MU.
Gold out!
Aw man, literally just closed my suitcase full of navy MU gear. Hopefully the jersey stands out enough!
Only packed gold for the games.
ZFB will be rockin rainbow stripes as per usual
I always wear gold for MU games...even when I'm watching at home....
Always gold at away games; blue at home games (with championship/baby blue shoes always)
Sportin' my Championship Blue undies today...
This falls in the area of common sense to me.
Why wouldn't you wear gold? Half the teams in our conference have blue as their primary color. No one else uses gold.
Whenever I buy anything that I intend to wear to basketball games, it's always gold. I don't want there to be any question about who I am rooting for, even from a distance.

Back in my day most of the gear was navy blue.

+1.
MU should sell no other color. The end.

We should even re-name ourselves to avoid confusion!

You mentioned this to me before. It definitely opened my eyes (I usually wear navy). Definitely wore gold to the @DePaul game after that.

You learn quickly, young grasshopper.
I think that has to pump up the team when they come out on the court (especially at an away game) and see all the gold in the crowd.
