Title: Game watching Miami Beach
Post by: warriorchick on March 03, 2019, 07:52:41 AM
Glow and I are in Miami Beach today and are looking for a good place to watch the game. I don't know if there are any official Marquette bars here, but we will settle for one that has reasonable beer prices and will turn the game on.

Any suggestions?

Can't help you with specific places, but there is a Marquette Club of Florida. It's based in Hollywood, but they might know places in Miami Beach. Maybe if you hit them up for a suggestion?

If you are in Miami Beach, what are you watching our beloved Warriors for? As much as I normally share your affection for all things Marquette, it's going to be 85 in South Florida and it's supposed to rain tomorrow.

Geez, you guys are worse than I am, though admittedly, I'll be watching this afternoon too while my wife goes to a jazz bar nearby. It's 80 here now!

They are heading out on a cruise is my guess.

Used to frequent this place a lot back when lived in South Florida. Worked about 2 blocks away and lived within a couple of miles or so.  This is a number of years ago, but good beer selection and gigantic drafts for reasonable $.

Depending on where you are on the beach, it could be a hike t get to he The Grove (as locals call it). You could also look for a Flanigan's which is a local sports bar chain.  That's where I watched all games on our Final 4 run so there may be an element of good luck there.

I'm wondering the same for southwest.  Can I use fox sports go with the WiFi stream?

I have streamed on planes and it generally does not work very well.

Thats what I was expecting.  Southwest has a handful of fox products for their live tv.  FS1 doesn't seem to be one of them!

On advice of a friend from the area, we are staying closer to the cruise port. We will probably end up at the Hooters.

Just got off our ship after a week in the Caribbean, so Brother DGies, we don't feel like we are missing out on anything.

Yeah generally not enough bandwidth for decent video (and FS1 isn't one of their free options).  Radio stream should work though.  Good luck!

I was able to stream the Providence game on American last week.   Shocklingly good service.

Sister Chick, I trust your cruise was a nice one.

Welcome to paradise on earth -- at least until June!
