Taking my nephew to his first Marquette game today. My usual pregame spot is drinking at Jacksons, however it's usually packed and the only place to sit is at the bar.
I'm not to up to date on laws with children at bars, but can he sit at the bar, or does it need to be a table? Any suggestions of where else to go?

In Wisconsin, he can drink with you legally. Have the bartenders pour him a jelly glass of suds and teach him cribbage and bar dice.
Kind of depends on the age. I never really felt too comfortable having my young kids in packed bars so eventually decided that getting to the arena early was the best call. Love the new arena, lots of things to keep the kids entertained, and plenty of food and drink options for all.

But my free beers at Jackson's
I grew up at pubs and turned out...
might as well take him to arts pc, give him a few dolla bills and go to town then, eyn'a?

Yes, break the kids in right. A good game of Sheephead, (5 handed preferred with unlimited cracks)if you can find several other players. Then ask the bartender to lay out a spread of Kielbasa, Kewaskum garlic sausage, and raw beef sandwiches with onion on rye bread.

You didn't mention free beer. Does your nephew have a TV?

My kids learned this law at a much younger age than I did.
"But, Daaaadddd, I
can have a beer in Wisconsin" is not exactly what you want to hear from a 9 y/o in a restaurant.

How much for the little boy?
