Anyone have the seating chart by colors? I know they give away the free shirts but 1 I don't wear an XXL and 2, last year someone went through our whole section and took half of the shirts which means I was out of color.
I will be in a suite. Do you happen to know if they have shirts in those?

High rollers such as yourself should be able to get your own shirts. Leave those fine shirts for us peasants!

You could play craps in the suites during timeouts if you wanted to. You'll have to supply the dice though.

There were 16,500 shirts printed. Not sure capacity number but I wouldn't think that is enough for the suites

Not sure what the ideal approach would be in distributing the shirts. People are never happy. The options for the two MU shirt give-aways I've been to this year were Med and XL. Neither fit any of the people in my group well, but I understand the logistics of distributing a bunch of sizes would be challenging. It's even more difficult with the NMD situation where they have to be pre-distributed in the seats. I suppose XL would be the best bet to get the desired effect since most people could at least put them on, but I suspect the majority of people wear something smaller than XL...even in WI.

Yah, I think rotating chairs between medium and XL would probably be the best bet. But ya, you're right - there really isn't a perfect way to do it.

In an ideal world yes, but also whose job is it to grab alternating sizes and carry around both boxes for 16,500 people

I think I have a solution to the t-shirt size problem. Watch for me on Shark Tank!
Looks like the shirts refer to the chicken... that's too bad.
I'm medium, last year's XL was a bit long but it was not like a real XL size. Still use it. Yes, last year suites got them.
Is there a chart for the new arena? I think I have every color and would rather just wear something that's already comfortable.

1. Tshirt size large: Ugh. Most people show up to the game already wearing MU gear. Free tshirt sitting on their chair? Many will want to just throw it on OVER what they are already wearing. Not gonna happen for most people with a size L. Give everyone XL. At least most people are going to be capable of wearing it.
2. The "pattern"? I've felt that whenever a school tries to do this....it's WAY too busy and complex. Not everyone is going to actually wear the shirt you give us (especially if we can't get it on). This "pattern" is going to look like.....nothing on TV. If they made the entire lower bowl baby blue and the entire upper level and suites gold (not maize or yellow).....that actually might look decent. This? Meh.

Perhaps you can volunteer to run this promotion next year and do it however you would like.
It amazes me how many armchair coaches and promotions managers there are on Scoop. Then again, it doesn't.
I can't believe some of the petty stuff people gripe about. It's a free t-shirt give away trying to build a fun atmosphere for the biggest game of the year on national TV. And people are complaining about the size of the shirts and the "pattern."
Perhaps people should stop being so cynical and just get on board. Too much to ask?

Isn't that the point of an opinion-based fan site?
MU tried to do this a couple/few years ago with a color scheme at the Bradley Center (can't recall exactly what game). It looked like a whole bunch of nothing. I even dropped them a line: Thank you for your generosity and the free tshirt, always appreciated, but next time you try to do this, I'd strongly suggest considering a single color. If 75% of people actually wear what you give, it might actually look like something.
If it looks great on TV Saturday, I'll be happy to come back on here and eat my words. Otherwise, I'm just excited to get another shot at SJU and then Nova this week.

And the year before that, people were asked to wear a particular color based on their section. Despite predictions of a colossal failure, it actually worked out okay. Even some Scoop naysayers admitted that it they were wrong.

Not at all. Totally on board. Love the idea of doing the pattern and glad MU came around to providing the shirts to give it the best chance of working. Now all we need is a W!! Can't wait for this game...though of course won't start focusing on it until after tonight so as not to look past St. John's.

I think people are misunderstanding me. I am an alum and a huge fan and want what everyone else here (hopefully) wants: for MU to look fantastic and for people nationally to realize what we have here: a great program, a great team, and a great fan base.
This is a place for opinions and discussion. My personal opinion is that the scattered pattern doesn't look that great if not everybody climbs on board to actually wear the shirts, and I feel a single block color of baby blue filling the entire arena would look a ton better. It's my opinion and nothing more. I will be there Saturday and hope it looks fantastic. I'm more than happy to be wrong if it makes MU look great.
But hey, let's go beat the sh** out of SJU first.

I think having everyone in gold would be better, but if not, then limit to two colors.
I thought the multi-colored sections looked great on TV and gold was certainly the predominate color.
