Markus is special. He goes out with early second half foul trouble. Sam steps up before he gets a 3rd and also has to go to the bench. Then it's Joey time. We ourscore Butler at Butler with Markus and Sam both on the bench for...5 minutes? Not sure.
Then they go on an 11-0 run to cut it to...6? Or 8? And we respond with a 10-0 (or better?) run to completely shut down their crowd. You could've heard a pin drop in there for the last 9 minutes.
And you just have guys playing roles. Chartouney and Bailey playing D with length (also loved the 3 on 1, no hesitation 3 by Chartouney), Theo swatting everything, Ed goes from a no show to a very solid game today, Sacar steps up offensively and made Kamar work very hard to score.
Oh and defense travels.
Just freaking awesome. Let's go!
I'm with you Wades!
It's been a really fun year - Let's keep it going.
Every win so far leaves me thinking it's the best win yet... including today's.
To put and 18 point hurt on Butler - away - is really special.
Well said—have the same feelings wades.
How can you not?
Got some studs here - Markus is a once in a generation player, the Hausers are totally solid. Theo has taken a major step up the ladder (still only a soph), and lastly, Sacar is a much more solid two-way player than I ever expected (patience not being my long suit).
Ed had an air of confidence right from the get go. Nice to see.

It seems there are gonna be Ed games depending on matchups. Depth is a great thing

They're ok I guess. I just wish we had a Kamar Baldwin type player.
Defense travels...keep playing defense like we did tonight and we will be in every game we play.
Just keep winning. What a special team, what a special year. This season seems almost too good to be true. Let's go win the whole thing.

Spoiler alert: Butler wins. Don't bother watching!
I do love this team! I love Markus but I believe we have 4 studs in the making. I also find myself embracing almost every move WOJO is making. He feels cool and in control.
If we were to find a way to win the next 2 games it would be incredible. Sadly, I will miss attending the St John's Game inasmuch as I need to be in Amsterdam on business. Need to find a late night Dutch Marquette Bar! My plane gets back in the nick of time to see the Villanova Game. That Game should be an epic battle.
This is so much fun!
Color me impressed. Thought Butler at home + MU letdown would equal a L.
But heck, what a game.

I don't want to get too far ahead of myself because, as I posted yesterday, I think BU is the worst team in the conference, but man it's starting to feel like things are coming together at the right time. Everyone knows, and can perform their role.
Sacar plays good D, and is finally at least a threat to hit the wide open 3's. Theo didn't score last night, but is still the conference's leading shot blocker. JC is finally starting to fill his (albeit small than I had hoped) role and hasn't had a multi-turnover game his last 5 times out. Joey is a legitimate candidate for Beast Freshman of the Year. Sam had a ridiculous efficiency last night, and Markus can still go video game mode seemingly at will.
Haven't accomplished any postseason accolades yet, and haven't even played Nova yet so I'll pump the brakes a little, but this season is starting to feel very special. Best thing is that most of the pieces should be back next year too. Sit back and enjoy it.
Scarlett Johansson, I Love This Team.
(hey, we all have our gods and goddesses)
This team is beginning to get a feel about them. I had a similar feeling in 2008 right before DJ broke his foot... That feeling like this year just might be meant to be.
Hope we're more right about that this go around.

If anybody breaks a foot this time, we'll know who to blame!
