Title: Marquette drops to...
Post by: Gwaki on January 21, 2008, 11:52:12 AM
#20.   I am suprised they stayed int the polls.  Took me a second to find them because I was like hmm.  I don't see us on the list of teams with some votes then bam.

edit: #21 in the AP

Right about where they should be... especially with so many Top 25 teams losing.

Week off should be a good thing for this team. Hopefully they'll come back refreshed and refocused and start a nice winning streak with DePaul.

If we lose at home to DePaul, the Bradley Center should run air raid sirens with flashing red lights as everybody files out of the arena.

Looks like the voters recognize the difficulty of winning on the road in the Big East. Katz's article nails it... there is a LOT of parity in the BE this year.  The BE tourney will be absolutely amazing!

I wonder how Rosiak placed us.  He's about the only voter who is completely informed on our team.

I'm surprised we're still in the top 25, but then again, that's just based on how we performed and I really haven't taken into account all the other top 25 teams that lost.

seems like a market correction and very apropos - we are definitely a top 20 team, but not on the upper half.
