Love the very first sentence:
"All Creighton had to do was catch the in-bounds pass."
The fans in Omaha must be starting to really hate Marquette.
Credit the reporter for avoiding the "he didn't get it off" narrative. That was a boneheaded play by CU plain and simple.
Wow, lots of errors in that game story. Yuck.

Yup. Heck, tell your 4 non-inbounding players to sit and hold hands under Marquette's basket in a circle and throw the ball directly to an MU player inside MU's 3 point line and you win the game.

Yup. One could make a pretty good argument that McDermott cost his team the game by not telling them that during the time-out. It really was an epic choke-job, from the top down.
We'll take it!
I've never liked the deep pass for the reason we saw tonight. Granted, all you need is either team to touch it, but when you're up 3 you can just pass it to anyone not in an opposing uniform in 3p range and you win the game
We own coach McDermott some thanks for helping create a legendary night

"For the third consecutive game against Creighton, Marquette found a way to dig out of a double-digit hole and escape with a victory."
Wojo seems to have McDermott's number.
Interesting that the writer presented Creighton as making an upset bid. CU was favored, no?
Admirable to see McDermot take responsibility in OP's article. Classy coach.

Welcome to my life. Just another notch on Mac's in-game coaching belt.

Looks like the author corrected his story to say "touch" in place of "catch". ;D

Hey, all you journalists out there: do I get some sort of writing credit for that? Are they supposed to add me to the byline?
Was it a typo on my part, or did the writer actually change the sentence? "Touch" is both more accurate and more dramatic.
I hadn't read it until now, but it reads "touch" now.
