Title: Is the DePaul game make or break now?
Post by: ecompt on January 20, 2008, 03:58:57 PM
I know there's still a lot of games to play, but coming off two incredibly awful performances, I think we absolutely have to beat DePaul on Saturday.

I'd say pretty much.  If we lost to DePaul, a lower-half type team, at home, especially if it's in the same fashion - bad shooting + bad rebounding + bad defense .. the wheels will have really fallen off.

With the team, I'm guessing the only thing between them and utter despair is that the last two losses were "supposed to lose, underdogs, on the road vs. quality coaches, quality teams".

(Hmm.. how long will it take before someone defends DePaul, positing that losing to DePaul at home wouldn't really that big a deal.)

When you consider how we play on the road, every home game is a borderline "must win." The only excusable home loss would be Georgetown.
