. . . None of our players got a broken nose from the force of the ball getting blocked back in their face????. . . 5'7 vs 7'3 won't work tom- tell your players that
i'll assume MU had more than 2 assists
Our centers will be able to rest. Just as in the UL game, Barro-no points, Burke-no points. Two BE road games and squat.
I saw a set of MU bball posters on the wall of a really ghetto pizza hut on 15th and forest home last night. Thats kind of a positive.. right?

The new addition at Sobelman's is loaded with MU gear.
Wesley Matthews wasn't as bad as the rest of the team today.
Oh, I got a positive. I really liked those powder blues Marquette wore the other night. Very stylish. After we got pounded I figured we would never see those again. But now that we got pummeled in the dark blues, maybe there is still hope for the powder blues. We might not compete in a road game this year, but we will look good in our not-competing.
Another positive - Marquette can count on their fans to stick with them.
Another positive, Marquette has fans that care enough about the team to not give them a free pass and excuse another pounding.
"Marquette can count on their fans to stick with them."
Indeed. I'll bet you a donut that not one single person, not one, will decide not to go to the DePaul game, or not watch the game because of the last two losses. Not one.
Are people upset, sharing their displeasure, predicting the future? Sure. Fans will be fans.

1. We outscored them over the last few minutes with the mini-me lineup of Matthews, McNeal, James, Acker and Cubillan. UConn stupidly played tight man to man and we spread the floor and whoever Thabeet was guarding just rolled past him for a layup.
2. Blackledge was awesome in the lay up line and for the first 22 seconds he was in the game.
3. Our guards had over a 50% completion rate on passes to Barro. He caught at least 55% of them.
Another positive... We made more than 0 threes
Well, actually hitting all those 3s was a good sign. 8 for 13 in the 2nd half = a blazing 63%.
It means we CAN hit them, we just need to get our shooters in place with enough time to shoot, and they CAN hit them. -- Hell of a lot better than having guys who never hit regardless of the circumstances. Just need to have the plays and execute them.

I think they started making them after Crean set their hair on fire...but then again, I didn't see any Michael Jackson lookalikes for MU.
"I'm more concerned we're not making stops defensively." Marquette coach Tom Crean said when asked about his team's recent shooting woes. "Hopefully we'll get something from the way we played the last 10, 12 minutes. We have to play with our hair on fire to be good."
