Just wanted to pop by and congratulate you on the W. For me that game went from exhilarating to tense to demoralizing to awe-inspiring. I wasn't too upset with how we played, but Howard was unstoppable. I think we have a couple of the perimeter defenders in the country (Jordan and Caruthers) but there was nothing they could do.
But you guys are more than a one-man show, and I hope the nation sees that. Those twins are a handful, and John is the kind of guy you love when he's on your team but absolutely hate if he's not.
Hope you guys run through the Big East, and maybe we'll see you in March. Cheers.
Good luck to you and the Bulls as well. Hope you run your conference table and keep your RPI nice a high.
(BTW, the Hauser brothers are not twins.)
Thanks for commenting. You guys have a helluva team; second best we've played maybe and we've had our toughest schedule in years. Two tough road games and you split so a solid trip. Have a great season. We're pulling for you the rest of the way.
Will be rooting for UB from here on out. That team is better than UW or KSU.
Good luck the rest of the way. Love to see you steamroll through the MAC. That's a very good team that just ran into Markus on a hot streak.

Only in the Championship game, otherwise no thanks ( it was still anybody's game until the final 8 minutes).
Very legit team.
Hopefully I don't jinx it but I'd be shocked if you guys lose more than 1 more all year.
Hopefully if Buffalo does finish the year with only a couple losses they are seeded properly.
That's a 5 seed at worst type of team.
I'll be pulling for the Bulls the rest of the year. Partly because it'll help our seeding come March, but partly because that is just a fun team to watch. They remind me of the FGCU Dunk City squad from a few years back, but definitely more talented. Lots of good athletes and playmakers on the UB team. Best of luck the next few months!
My dad grew up in buffalo. Sweet spot for Bills, Sabres, St. Bonaventure (close enough), Niagra Falls, and 4 ft snow drifts.
Add UB to that list.
A UB Team with one loss to the BE champs sounds nice come end of season. As well as MU a Big East champs with that only win. How about 4 or better seeds for both of us?
Good luck
Thanks for the love. We're hoping the voters don't punish us too much for an 18-point loss. I think we belong in the 20-25 range, but who knows. Our big wins aren't looking so mighty anymore.
I live in NYC and attend the Big East tournament more often than not, so I'll try to make it a point to see you guys there.

If you go, let us know if you need some Marquette spirit wear. We will hook you up!
It will be fun to watch Buffalo the rest of the way. Couple of games on CBSSN and ESPNU. The rest on espn3/espn+.
Games they could lose at are games at Kent State & Toledo. Very tough to run thru a conference. MAC plays some good basketball.

Indeed. It's an up year from the conference. Lot of P5 wins. Kent has beaten Vandy and Oregon State. Toledo is good, as is Ball State.
We'll certainly take a couple of Ls during MAC play, but the hope is to be in a position to earn an at-large if we don't win the conference tournament.
Good luck to you as well the rest of the way.
Great team. We went up 10 to up 6 in seconds.
I love Harris' game. That kid can do a lot of different things.
Good luck Bulls. One of the guys in my dept here in Calif who played football and soccer for you at Buffalo...great guy. We had a bet last night on the game. At halftime I told him you were the best or no worse than second best team we played all year. Damn you guys are quick.
He now has to wear Marquette stuff all day at the office. Good luck rest of the way.

As much as I dislike ESPN for their dish of the BE, they do have an awesome stream site to catch the non-headlining games.

Guarantee you guys won't drop below 20, and remain there all year. UB is a dangerous team, better than Wisconsin or Kansas State. You guys just ran into a hungry team that went mental last night.

Class act all the way.
We enjoyed watching your guys last night. Good team that's well coached. And it's really hard not to cheer for a team whose head coach is from nearby Watertown, WI.
If you run into a red rodent along the way in the NCAA, rest assured Marquette nation will be among the loudest and strongest supporters you have. Ditto if you happen across a belligerent short guy dressed in green and white. And if you happen across a Hillbilly from Virginia, pour it on just for us!
I'd wish you good luck but with you team, the talent is strong enough you don't need it.
Everything I have seen from UB has been classy. I do feel they are the best team we face this year. I will be pulling for them any time we are not head-to-head.

That game was a blowout in final score and that's it
Hopefully voters actually watched the game and don't just see the score
Last night was just two really good teams going at it back and forth. I know MU won by 18, but that game was much much closer than that. MU/Howard got on fire at the right time, but that was as enjoyable and entertaining a basketball game I've seen this season. The Buffalo fan here and fans on Twitter were all class, easy team to cheer for the rest of the year.
Classy post from a fan of a very good team.
Good luck to you and your Bulls.
Class. You guys are a scary good team. Good luck the rest of the way and Merry Christmas. (If that is your holiday of choice)
Great game last night. Good luck to the Bulls the rest of the way!!
Thats a fantastic screen name.
I'm putting UB in my elite eight right now. Seriously, I think the athleticism and the shooting will take you guys a long way - and will surprise a lot of tournament teams. You ran into us on a "once in a lifetime" night. Stuff like that happens, but still a great team, well coached, and fun to watch.
I listened to Nate Oats' postgame presser... I really like it when a coach can say 'I should have done X better'. Class act taking responsibility along with the players. I bet those guys would run through a brick wall for him.
We're very lucky to have Oats. He seems to love Buffalo and has really embraced the city as his home, but I'm afriad this will be his last season there.
Can't look ahead now, though. We have something special going (despite last night) and I'm looking forward to seeing what he/this team can do this year.

I live in Buffalo and follow the bulls as I have family members who attended ub. I even went down to West Virginia this year to root on the bulls with them.
I would love to see Nate stay at ub after this season. The only chance of that happening is if UB ponies up some serious dough to make him the highest paid coach in the Mac. One thing UB does have going for it is that Nate's wife is a patient at Roswell and is very comfortable with her treatment there (she had some form of cancer). Could be a reason for him to stay as he said as much after last season.
Anyways, great game last night. I wish I could have been in attendance to root on MU. I am jealous that my coworker got to go with my season tickets >:(
