Game starts at 1:30/12:30 EST/CST.
Heading out soon to pick up some family on the way to the game. Getting there when the doors open at 11A to try to get the seats I want. I haven't been this excited/nervous for a game in awhile - Go Marquette!!!
Rough start to Q2. Looks like a nice crowd.
Game was sold out. No juice in AL what so ever though. Look like women are just never going to get a break through win
Great example for young girls today. Packed gym for a local kid who has become a super star. Too bad MU was cold but it was still a great event to be a part of this afternoon.

Yep - that's what my friend and I have been saying for awhile about the breakthrough win. I came into this one thinking they had a decent shot of pulling the upset and I sure was wrong about that. And if they don't make the Sweet 16 this season, I don't think they ever will.
The crowd was just as I expected unfortunately - lots of sitting on hands. And I got a look early on for merely cheering loudly for Marquette - not even yelling at refs or anything. I get tired of the people who think you shouldn't really be vocal at Women's Basketball games.
Hoping they can rebound for conference play.
ND blows.
We were at the game as well (STH).. A lot of cheering, yelling at the refs etc in our area/section... Not much sitting on our hands.. Even Bill Scholl got up a few times and even yelled at the refs too... Too bad the MU Ladies had a tough day shooting. I have to believe Blockton was sick. She sure got subbed a lot , more than the usual rotations..

Glad it was better in your area - not much cheering from MU fans where I was sitting.
Kinda related but Ed Morrow's sister is a sophomore at Simeon.
6'1" point guard, strong, and already really, really good. Hope Marquette gives her a look.

Fun fact: Ed's mom was one of the most decorated women's players at Nebraska.

That is not the vibe at volleyball games.

Tell them to pass that along to the Women's Basketball fans too :).
I took my oldest daughter to the 2nd round NCAA Tournament volleyball game and we both had a lot of fun. I'm going to look into volleyball season tickets for next season - my kids can already get into games free with the kids club memberships too.
Well why play ND with the students gone? Very disappointing. The BE doesn't present any chance for a breakthrough win. Last chance will come in ncaa. Yes if this team cannot go to sweet 16 then maybe this is just as good as the women can be

I really don't think it matters if the students are on campus or not - they don't draw that many students. Heck UCONN can't even draw that many fans to their women's games. I'm guessing this date worked best for scheduling and I don't think the outcome would have been different if the students had been around.
The Big East is pretty much just Marquette and DePaul this season and if MU plays like they did today, DePaul runs them out of the gym in each game. I don't think they did enough in non-conference play to earn a top 4 seed and host and it's a lot harder to make the Sweet 16 if you are playing on the better seeded team's home court. I think their non-conference performance was better than last season that got them an 8 seed but not good enough to propel them to a 4 seed.

I believe volleyball season tickets are $40.
Marquette - DePaul on now on FS1. Go Warriors! (None of that "Lady Warriors" BS)
Strangely enough, both teams in blue.
Shame to see the empty seats for a big game. But Marquette dropping the hammer so far.
Any Chicago alums gonna go when they are in Chicago? I definitely plan on cheering them on.

That's going to suck for the people watching this on their black and white TVs.
If you look at the colored squares on the sidelines, the uniforms are exact color matches.
All of the key players for Coach Kieger are Seniors. Do they have a big recruiting class coming in?
Marquette women giving DePaul a good old-fashioned ass-kicking.
Chloe Marotta getting some minutes and some points.

You could say that - they have 8 incoming freshmen for 2019-20 :). This year's senior class of 6 also started out as 8 - one player left after her freshman year and one player graduated a year early (was a foreign player who didn't play a ton and I'm guessing returned home).
This game was not what I expected at all especially with Allazia Blockton out for the second game in a row. But I think the game in Chicago in early February will be much different.
