First trip to the new arena on Sat. Plans right now are to pregame at Buck Bradley's. Any new spots open with the new arena that are worth checking out?

Haven't been but heard there's a big sports beer garden right outside it

It's not open yet.

If we are talking the same thing, it's been open a couple times, huge TV, bar to the east of the TV. Looks like beers on tap, picnic tables, bathroom across from it. No idea if it will be open for the UW-M game.

Definitely have gotten snapchats from it. Maybe its had soft openings like 21jumpstreet is referring to?
Buck Bradley's was quite fun last week and we are going there again. Hoping for good luck two weeks in a row.

Look me up.
Just had a mental picture of two middle aged guys in a bar yelling 'Real Chili 83' and 'goose' back and forth.

You gonna join us too?
you got it, Real.

I wish. Coaching a game at noon and then a 4.5 hour drive. Not gonna do it. Wouldn't be prudent.

Yeah, it's open. I've seen people drinking at the tables and the massive TV is always on a sporting event.
I'll be making the trip from Detroit. We usually find ourselves at Buck Bradley's as well
MKE Brewery opened up a new brewery about 2 blocks from the arena. Really big place that you don't have to dodge all the people in the small space of Buck Bradley's/GBH/Brat House/etc... Food is ok and they have other beer that is not MKE. Plus started by a Marquette grad
We went to Oak Barrel Public House on 3rd St. before the KSU game, and it worked out pretty well. The food was good, they had good drink specials, and it's a quick walk over to the stadium. They had a decent number of TVs too, but they were all tuned into a single game, which wasn't great. Hopefully that was unique due to the conference championship games last weekend.

Where is it?
MKE website only shows the three more distant locations.
Thanks
We will be at Buck Bradley's as well!

Is that the new Glass + Griddle place by Pabst?
The new Tavern at Turner Hall is pretty cool. It's operated by the Nomad guys. Good cocktails, lots of beer choices, a cooler atmosphere in there than before. They've got the old SYDNEY HIH letters and a big sign from the defunct Odd Rock Café displayed in there.

Yeah, that's the name. It's a great place to grab a beer before/after MU games. Highly recommend it

Ultimately Good City Brewing will be in that building next to Fiserv and started by someone I went to Marquette law with.
I enjoy Rumpus Room for their whiskey and beer selections before the game. Not as close (still have to cross the river), but enjoyable.

Whoa, game changer. Can anyone confirm if this is true? The bacon there is one of my favorite things on the menu.

Do you not believe me? Homer does radio commercials during the Marquette games where he talks about it. Not 100% sure it is going on right now, but I have heard the commercials this season.
The Rumpus Room's phone number is 292-0100 if you wish to confirm.

If he was wrong, than the copy he was reading was wrong as well.
There were other perks for STHs at the Rumpus Room that he mentioned, but after free bacon, I couldn't focus on anything else. ;D

I thought they were not until March.
