Touny.
He's not going to light up the box score often but we desperately needed him to get comfortable running our team. Markus just doesn't have an understanding of where he gets into trouble on the court getting trapped too easily and doesn't have very good court vision for a point guard. Touny makes this team a lot better when he's in the court.
The one improvement we need from him is to get rid of the cross court (or full court) passes.
Honorable mention to Brendan.
And to the team's on ball defense.

Brendan
Joe, Bailey and Morrow all had very promising games. Hard to overlook 7 steals, though...
JC. Forced a few too many home runs but 7 steals more than makes up for it.
Honorable mentions to Bailey and Markus. Markus scored 17 points while puking his guts out in the locker room. That's studly
Chartouney
No one else is close.
Joe C
Joe C, comes as advertised. Also allows Markus to play so much better when they're in together.
Chartourney might if had 15 assists if we shoot a little better tonight
Michigan State
I'll agree with Joe. I think he's starting to figure out how to lead this team (of course, others will likely note that this is the level of competition he was accustomed to playing at). Still, very nice to see the contributions from Bailey and Morrow.
Chartouny. If Joey & Markus hit the wide open threes JC set them up for he would've flirted with a triple double.
JOEC. Solid game. He played well a few too many TO's.

I hope Markus doesn't pass that on to any of the other guys. Gonna need everybody healthy on Saturday

You thought Charleston Southern was good? Odd.

Exactly! Count Porky as one of the others. Agree Joe is a more natural PG than Markus and although moderate optimism may be warranted, Porky won't be jumping up and down in the pen until Joe consistently has nights like he did tonight against significantly better competition.
Chartouny :)

JC.
Bailey was solid. Cain played a few nice minutes in his 2nd stint. His first was awful.
Markus I thought was solid. Limited to a few bad shots just missed some open ones.
Morrow and Theo solid as well
Chartouny. With 7 steals, there isn't much else to say. Oh yeah, 3-4 from long range, 13 points and 6 assists. He's got to get a better handle on turnovers. But this was easily his best game so far on both ends of the court.
Gotta be Joe. Hopefully he's able to keep this momentum coming into the KSU game this weekend.
Kinda curious why he didn't start with Markus being under the weather. I'm glad he got starter's minutes, but it does kind of make you wonder why Joe wasn't out there from the tip.
Easy. Chartouny.

Chartouny for SOTG
Also liked what I saw from BB. Hoping more good to come from him!

Confidence is an amazing thing. Earlier games Chartouny was passing up wide open looks right at the 3 point line and clearly did not want to shoot. Since he had that break out game a couple weeks ago where a few went down for him, he's not hesitating often to put up the shot. Last night, he was clearly feeling it as at least two of his threes were from well beyond the arc and looked very smooth. He's clearly at least competent from deep, which should really help space the floor and the offense to find a rhythm with ball movement at some point. Good to see, and yet another reminder to be patient with transfers, especially the grad variety.
I'm singing the Char-TOUN-y song tonight
Marquette doesnt deserve an SOTG. The only reason that they won is because Charleston Southern is trash. Marquette players played like crap and honestly Im suprised that Wojo didnt get out-coached. Too bad Marcus didnt tear his ACL but there is still hope for Saturday. Cant wait for us to get pounded up the butt all season long in the post starting with wade then happ and so on
Hey Topper-

So much fun, other than actually wishing a devastating injury on a player. That is just pure d-bag.
