Title: Opportunities for big (NCAA bid) wins
Post by: Warrior of Law on November 22, 2018, 08:31:00 AM
As we all know, college basketball is all about March and the NCAA tournament. On the surface, the 2 losses to Indiana and Kansas are not bad losses. If MU can win 2/3 vs Louisville, Kansas State, & Wisconsin, as well as Buffalo, then they'd be 3-3 vs decent nonconference teams. The Big East may not offer many opportunities vs ranked teams, so the NCAA resume will get a big boost/hit in the next few weeks.  The Badgers game will be huge.

Not ranked teams need quality Q1 wins, but we better start Friday.

The Big East is going to be very difficult this year. Villanova could go 13-5 and win it and DePaul could be at the bottom with a 5-13 record. Everyone else in a huge dogfight. Could literally have the whole rest of the league bunched at 9-9,with few of their conference wins being very good quality . So this pre season means more than ever. MU really needs to sweep the 4 tough games remaining to have a seat at the tournament table , absent winning BET.
