Kenpom has it as a 9 point win for KU so I guess it makes sense. I expected 10 or 11 though.
I'd hammer Kansas if I was into such things
Hopefully it just stays close. Not expecting much of anything :D
Vegas doesn't hate us. Which is concerning. Cause I wanna bet big on Kansas. But what does Vegas know that makes the line so close?
Gotta take Kansas
I'll be betting Kansas. Would love to lose some money though!

That Scoop is overreacting to the IU loss. And maybe also that Marquette is a better 3PFG% team than it's shown so far while KU is a worse 3PFG% team than it has shown.

KU also has not by any stretch looked dominant AT HOME vs. Lafayette and Vermont. They can be had.
Bet da mortgage dat rock chalk covers, aina?
A Tennessee & Kansas tease looks really tempting.
Taking MU moneyline @ +380 8-)
Interesting in that Kansas ranks 307th out of 351st in the country in 3 pt FG% defense thus far. MU is easily the best 3Pt shooting team they have seen thus far...bombs away, and if they are hitting...
Line now at 9.5 on my site.
I like being excited for a big game like this. Just hoping for a decent game. Another 25 pt loss might kill the season for me

And this.
At this point in the season, this *should* be a winnable game for Marquette.
Fire up warriors!

Sometimes. Other times a team with Jalen Brunson, Phil Booth, Mikal Bridges, Eric Paschall, Omari Spellman, and Donte DiVencenzo blow the doors off of everyone in route to a national title. I wouldn't consider any of those players as particularly speedy individuals for D1 athletes. And I wouldn't really consider many of Moritz Wagner, Muhammad Ali Abdul-Rahkman, Zavier Simpson, Charles Matthews, or Duncan Robinson, their opponent in that national title game, to be super speedy D1 basketball players either.

We can do the Villanova debate here or elsewhere, but what really stood out with last year's team was their ability to switch all 5 positions on the perimeter on defense, and if the ball got dumped down inside, to quickly recover with size to contest near the rim. Yes, Wright is a clearly a great coach, but you have to have speed and lateral quickness to effectively switch all 5 positions on the perimeter.

I just don't think either of those teams had much speed at all for a high major D1 basketball program. Physicality and extremely well coached.

Disagree, but not willing to break up this thread to argue about it.

I think this is right.......Our strength is 3 point shooting......we haven't shot it well this season so far..........we have to take them and hope we get hot tonight.......if we do we should be able to keep it close....like MSU did (12-25).....if we continue to struggle out there we are going to lose at it won't be pretty.......
Let them fly and hope for the best.

9 times out 10 the Vegas line is going to be within a point of what Pomeroy projection is. We are projected to lose by 9.

Apparently you were right! It's killing Kansas!
9 point finish. Vegas knew about the 24-0 run apparently.
