How often do guys stay home? The guy from Nicolet...I think a 4 or 5 star. Really good. Tall.

I would be very excited if that was our 2020 class. Jalen Suggs and Dawson Garcia from Minny are two near the top of my wish list.

Are we still being mentioned with Suggs? Is he still looking at possibly playing football in college?

Wojo met with him and his family in August. I have no idea what his thoughts are about playing basketball or football or college. I just know the kid can hoop.

Yes to all of the above. If MU can get an early commitment from Beekman and Polk they would be very helpful in closing the deal with Johnson and Sibley .
Here's a list of recruits that I believe we have a shot at. If I had to guess I'd say Desmond and Jamari look the most likely to commit. After that it could go anywhere.
1.Jalen Johnson
2.Jalen Suggs
3.Dawson Garcia
4.Julian Strawther
5.Ethan Morton
6.Dain dainja
7.Symir Torrence
8.Jamari Sibley
9.Desmond Polk
10.Justin Lewis
11.Reece Beekman
I know all of you foul-weather posters aren't really familiar with how things go around here, but we have a whole thread here to discuss recruiting. Use it to post 2020 news or comments.

This is a very good list.
I haven't seen anything to indicate we are still in the running for Suggs. My gut says Johnson goes blue blood, though I've heard talk he may want to stay local and if so that's better news for us than anyone else.

I think our chance of making a deal with Johnson goes up if we offer Kobe his 2021 younger brother.

Could be. Though I think the chances of them ever playing together is pretty minimal. Jalen looks like a one and done to me. Taking the family approach usually leads to good results though.

It looks like Kobe is getting some decent interest at the Big East level right now. So his talent is there and the parents are just as interested in seeing him find a good home as Jalen. So it gives us meaningful air time with all the parties involved.
Watching the Va Tech Purdue game, and seeing Carsen Edwards and Justin Robinsion, and thinking Reece Bekman and Desmond Polk are exactly the kind of players MU needs.
Jalen Johnson just recently followed the Marquette basketball instagram page. Take it for what you want, but that looks like a good sign.

I think our advantage is we can make a credible offer for his younger brother. Kobe would be a nice fit with MU. Not sure that is the case at the blue bloods.

2020 five star guard, Jalen Suggs, will be playing his last football this Friday night in the Minnesota State Championship game. From there, he will choose basketball. He will visit Georgetown, Florida, West Virginia, Kansas, Tennessee, Gonzaga, Marquette this winter, per dad.

Help Kobe plan for graduating a year early. Offer them both, with the opportunity to play on a team together.
Gotta tink Wojo's coachin' tenure uncertainty will have any potential recruits scatterin' like cockroaches in da kitchen wen da lites get turned on, aina?

Kind of like the uncertainty of the FBI is having any potential recruits scattering like cockroaches from Arizona hey?
Need to get commitments from Reece and Desmond. That will give momentum.

Because I think we'll win a lot of games this year and then we return every big contributor for next season except one, who we replace with a better version of. We lost 2 games that we should've lost.
Ok, butt maybe get an I exam, 'cuz eyem cn a very poorly coached team, hey?

I'm seeing a team that had its 2 toughest games of the season within the first 5 games of a season.

I can't speak for everyone but I don't think there are many posters in Wojos corner. Most of those percieved to be are just neutral. Personally, I respond to hyperbole on both sides. It's just there's a lot more negative hyperbole then positive hyperbole these days.
Wades is right. Kansas is our toughest game of the season. At Indiana is probably top 5 or top 6 hardest. If the losses keep coming, then we have a problem.

Wojo's seat is cool and he will win just enough to stick around anither 5 years. Think 10 years of mediocrity.
Its sad that the bar for success is a lot lower then what I want. NCAA every year and a deep run every few years. I miss Buzz.
