Title: In Sports : Rushing = Failure
Post by: NCMUFan on January 18, 2008, 09:32:59 AM
In my opinion the Marquette players were rushing their shots which led to misses.   It seems in every sport it is no different whether it is the quarterback being rushed to get his pass off, a batter being rushed to swing because it appears the pitch is to fast or a tennis player rushing his return because his opponents serve is to fast.  Rushing = Failure.  Hence, it appears Marquette should practise not rushing the shot but being able to get an accurate shot off in less time by whatever means possible.  I am not a coach, but its apparent, if you have to rush in sports you are doomed to failure.

I agree with that.  The shots all seemed to be rushed.  Also, we missed alot of fastbreak points due to excessive passing.  It seemed like no one wanted to shoot yesterday.

One of the biggest things that hurt us was the no show of Lazar.  He was completely neutralized and his inability to score (especially early on) did not help at all.
