Title: Two positives
Post by: PuertoRicanNightmare on January 18, 2008, 08:07:01 AM
And when I say two, I mean two.

1. I thought Matthews had a decent game. He was as aggressive as he's been all season. If he can keep it up, it'll be huge.

2. I loved the jerseys.

That's about it.

1. We will never wear the baby blues on the road...ever
2. We will never go 0-12 from three again
3. We will never not recruit a big man again
4. We will drive to the basket because that is what we do well
5. We will never be ranked in the top ten this year
6. We will never read the rankings each Monday
7. We will never get blown out by 20 again
8. We will forget all losses and all blowouts once we advance (finally) past the first round of the NCAA tourney.

Another positive, it was on ESPN2, not ESPN.  I doubt many people even realize ESPN has more than one channel.  How do we note sarcasm?

Picking up on PRN, I agree with his first point that I thought Matthews played well.  He was aggressive and played with a lot of emotion.  I'm sure he was frustrated last night not just by the how the game was going, but he got some bad calls go against him.  I was glad to see him hold his composure - he's a classy kid and good representative of the school.

As good as Wes was, that was as bad as everyone else was. Lazar was awful when he got the ball at the foul line inside the zone, Jerel was completely out of control early, and I said to my wife when Fitz came in that he was going to be useless against a quick, big team like that. I TIVO'd the game and erased it before it was even over.

Was that Harbaugh's wife sitting between Harbaugh and Joanie Crean?  My God, that woman's expression of total bewilderment did not change once the entire night!  I think she was botoxed to death or something!  I'm not sure she was breathing!

Whew!  I'm not the only one that wanted to forget it before it was over :)  It's amazing how fast things can disappear from the DVR :)
