MU has been flashing an ad on the jumbotron, if we score 90 or more points, everyone gets a free personal pizza from pizza hut. Well, MU scored 92 tonight. Problem is....no pizza huts in the mke area knew about the promotion (at least the 4 my wife called had no clue, even talked to all 4 managers)??? Something about the chain being sold and all promotions void?
Anyone else get their free pizza??? Looks like we got out pizza-ed by the hut

The Shake Shack seems to be getting a lot of mileage for their almost non-existent promotion, as well. With only one Shake Shake in SE Wisconsin (in Walker's Point), I bet they had to give away upwards of 20 free shakes (free with purchase). What a crock. Maybe the Shake Shack AT THE FISERV FORUM should give away free shakes! Oh wait, there isn't one there either.
Now Pizza Hut is claiming they know nothing about the promo - lol!

Is it a big deal? No. But they pumped that up quite a bit at the game. They showed that ad a fair amount of times.
I have found that even with Pizza Hut's own printed coupons it is up to individual stores/restaurants if they want to honor them. I just don't waste my time with Pizza Hut.

When Marquette is in dire need of pizza heros, neither Angelo's nor Guiliano's is around to take the call.
I left the game at the 6 minute mark and caught the Homer and Tony call of the game on the drive home. They spent a good amount of time talking up this giveaway. If the local Pizza Huts are not honoring this give away, MU better stop the promotion right away.
Tony was funny about it, stating MU better have a weight loss giveaway if everyone keeps getting free shakes and pizzas.

My wife and I stopped by the locations near 84th and Bluemound and 68th and Greenfield. The 84th location was "out of dough for personal pan pizzas". We called ahead to the 68th street and got an order placed. When we arrived for pick up the told her if we haven't ordered already they were out of dough. Seems like both places were unaware/ unprepared for the promotion or that there was a Marquette game that day.
might as well run a promo-FREE ROOT CANALS when MU scores 150 eyn'er? ;)

I realize it's a free personal pan pizza with nominal value, but IMO it's lame to have a promotion that they hype extensively in stadium and on the radio broadcast that isn't honored/ can't be redeemed.
I tweeted at MUBB, fiservforum and Pizzahut requesting a list of participating sites and haven't received any response.
Either honor it or end the promotion.
Might as well offer $1,000 gift certificates at participating Dick's Sporting Goods if there is no chance of redeeming anyways. That would really get the crowd hyped.
Proposed promotions for next year:
1) Marquette Master Thief Promotion: If a Marquette player gets 3 steals in a game, every fan gets 3 weeks unlimited free downloads from Napster
2) Block Party: If Marquette blocks 3+ shots in a game, every fan gets a free rental from Blockbuster
3) Season Ticket Member of the Game Bonus Prize: 1 year free financial management from Arthur Andersen
4) Travel time: If Marquette's opponent is called for traveling in the last 5 minutes of the game every fan in attendance gets a free flight on Midwest Express
5) Step on the Gas: If Marquette scores 100 points, everyone gets $1 off a tank of gas at any Standard Oil gas station.
