Evan Daniels picked Wojo to be his COY this year on his podcast this week and seems to think all 4 newcomers (between transfers and freshman) will be big contributors this year. I hope he's right. Very interested to see us play another D1 team tonight. My biggest worry is the schedule is tough tough tough. Could easily see 4+ losses early and everyone here getting restless.

You mean heads exploding. Always restless here even when winning.
Depends on the four losses and the nature of the losses. But yes, that could be Hiroshima.
Did he look into his Crystal Ball?
But if we're really good, the losses will take care of themselves. We might drop 4 in pre conf but if we are that good we'll rebound and go 14-4 in conf or similar.
If we are a good team, we'll be fine.

Stop being reasonable....
How on Earth do you predict the COY before the season starts? He is predicting that Wojo will do the best coaching job? If his reasoning is that the newcomers are going to be good and we'll be good because of that, how does that make him the best coach?

You look for a team that you have higher expectations for than the most of the others in the media. So if you bet correctly that the team is going to outperform most people's expectations than you get to claim how you saw it coming because of how good this coach is. It helps if the coach is a recognizable name like Wojo.

Um no, he has the .PPT from 2014.
It's time to toughen up Wadesworld. First 10 home games need to be at the MECCA. These new school Marquette kids are soft. Respect the process.
One thing we dont want to be at the start of the season is "fine". We want to be great!
We settle for "fine" as time goes by and we realize we can't change that 3-pt loss to whoever...ok we're fine.
I personally think its fine if we end up in thee tournament...usually that means a season has past that had more ups than downs...and I enjoyed it.
But now is no time for fine....beat UMBC...Indiana....Kansas....TN (or whoever)....KState .... UW .... and all the guys in between. More than fine is what we want! 4 losses to IU,KN,TN,KSU might end up being a "settle-for-it-fine" but I can't stomach that right now.
oh, and good pick for COY btw....
