Two blow out loses on the road. Both times dug a hole early with terrrible shooting and lots of turn overs. This team is playing like a middle of the pack BE team, nearly impossible to beat at home but barely competitive against decent (not top 25) competition on the road.
One of the things I'ver really liked about the 3 Amigos era was that they were a tough team on the road. That seems to be gone this year.
The last couple years they got the home team down by being more ready to play, then they played with the lead and made the home team claw their way back. Even if they didn't win they gave themselves a chance to win down the streach. This year they seem sloppy and careless early, make a couple runs but then cave in, stop playing D and let stuff spiral out of control. Nobody steps up and makes the big shot, nobody takes over the game at critical times.
We're just not ready to be the hunted. Best thing now would be to lose the ranking and go into these games with something to prove.
Next up UConn where we'll face another team who can't afford to lose 2 home games in a row.
We played tonight? Man I missed it, I was so busy planning for the 5 year anniversary of TC's last NCAA win.
In all seriousness, this team is too talented to be laying eggs like this on the road. I can handle losses at West V a& UL but the margins are dissappointing. UConn is indeed a must win. Sure the season can be live without it but the guy's psyche may need it more than anything.
The worst part of tonight was that we had so many bunnies that we couldn't convert in the 1st half. Sometimes you lose b/c you're beat but this game was there for the taking. We beat ourselves (in the 1st half at least).

I have no interest in losing our ranking. It was a bad loss tonight, but my heights are still held high. I want to win the BE. I want a 2-3 seed going into the tournament.
We always miss a lot of bunnies. One of the underrated facets of our team (probably because we are so small) is that we get a lot of second chance points, but we weren't getting to the offensive putbacks like usual tonight. And it's been a while since we were so consistently beaten to loose balls and the like.
