Do Alums meet anywhere before the Women's game for an adult beverage?  Bought Season Tix for first time this year.

From my check of the rankings, other than DePaul not a single BE team got even a single vote.

BE women's is essentially a mid major conference. To my recollection before we shot up the rankings under CK only Depaul was ranked/receiving votes

Am I imagining it or did SJU used to have a pretty solid women's basketball program?  What happened to them?

Looking at their records the past decade it looks like they're always decent but rarely spectacular.

With everyone seniors, this feels like a bit of a make or break year. Getting to the second weekend seemed possible at least on paper the last two years, but this might be it for a couple years. Really too bad about McCoy as she could've been the key to a Final Four run.

Why does it seem like the women's team always ends up with a ridiculous amount of seniors? Didn't Mitchell have like 9 her last year?

That's why. Kieger had to replace a lot which led to a talented but large freshman class. They were all needed, so they all developed together. Probably have another large freshman crop next year.

I think transfers, both traditional and JUCO, are less of a focus in the women's game (correct me if that's incorrect) so balancing classes might be a bit harder once they are unbalanced.

Adding to two drubbings this week, the women's team added the nation's leading scorer from last year to their 2019 recruiting class.

Milwaukee native Shemera Williams averaged 39.9/12.8/7.8 last year, leading the nation in scoring and state in assists. She is playing D4, but put up big numbers against D1 & D2 opponents too.

Yes they do with 8 verbal commitments lined up for 2019-20.  That's how many Kieger had in her first recruiting class - one foreign player left after her freshman year and Olivia Moskari graduated a year early and left after this past season to bring the current senior class down to 6.

Marquette remained at #19 in the AP poll and travel to Miami to play there Thursday night.  Kieger gets to take on her former boss Katie Meier.
