I'll be there with my entire family and several MU friends - 13 of us in all.
Didn't know this was gonna be happening when we picked this game, so this is a cool bonus!

I'll bet D Wade takes the Hiawatha Line up from Chicago.

A lot easier for D Wade and Gabrielle to bring back several cases of New Glarus Spotted Cow on the Hiawatha.

Is Spotted Cow the most overrated beer of all time? Discuss amongst yourselves.

Yes, followed by much of the swill poured in the UK

No. The amount that it is overrated is often overrated though. I honestly can't think of any time where I've heard someone say that Spotted Cow is a stellar beer. It's a solid regional staple. It's like Yuengling in the east or Shiner down here in Texas.

Ratebeer rates Spotted Cow a 41 (on a 100 point scale). Miller Lite is a 0, so when you go from regularly drinking Miller Lite to Spotted Cow it feels like a huge upgrade.
Then, if you drink really good beer like Golden Monkey (94) and go back to Spotted Cow, it feels like a huge downgrade.
So it depends on what your used to drinking and the relative quality of Spotted Cow in relation to that. Many of the Spotted Cow drinkers I know switched from Miller Lite or Coors Light and never went higher up the beer scale. They still think SC is great. For others, Spotted Cow is a gateway beer on the way from beer swilling commoner to full blown beer snob.

No. Stella Artois is. And Corona. Crappy foreign beers with clever marketing campaigns. Which, in a way, Spotted Cow is. If it was available outside Wisconsin no one would care about it. But making it "special" in that it can only be bought in Wisconsin makes it forbidden fruit. It's pretty good. I agree that it doesn't meet the hype, but it isn't bad.

Golden Monkey? Jesus, man. That's worse than Miller Lites. Give us something better than Golden Monkey for "really good beer".

SMH. Maybe you don't like the style or something. I don't know. I think it's good & Ratebeer score is 94.
Matilda by Goose Island? That's a 98. Serendipity by New Glarus is 100 but I think it's profile is more like a sparkling wine. What would you say?
Goose Island Brewery also has a "Pere Jacques" which I presume is named after Fr. Pere Jacques Marquette. The literal Goose Island is on the Chicago River which Fr. Marquette descended (ascended?) with Fr. Joliet.

Rather like Coors back in the 1970s. Heck, even President Gerald Ford smuggled it east!
Very much dislike beer. More of a Whiskey man myself.
But my beerloving gf loves Matilda.
Matilda's are good. As for Chicago beers, I'm a big fan of the Revolution and Half Acre offerings.

Louis Joliet was not a priest. He was a fur trader.
