The AP AA team was released today. Markus was not on it but did receive votes totaling 5 points.

That article should be good bulletin board humor on MU playing D. I can understand last year playing a pigmy guards, but this year much different, just in overall
size on the team. If a player does not want to defend, there will be somebody else waiting with MU depth.
Sammy and the Dauminator are criminally underrated.
I'd put Sam above Markus, but I understand it. Markus will put up his shots, light up the points column, and maybe drop 50 on a team. Sam will quietly go about being the best player for Marquette.
Don't no if ya kan say "pigmy" here or knot, aina?

I'm the dad of 7---not out of shape though---even last year they could have guarded me!!!
DC & Wades -right on.
Who is "the dauminator"?

Who is "the dauminator"?
Mike Daum, senior forward at South Dakota State.
Is he old enough to get AA votes?
If AP did three teams, Markus would have been a third-team preseason AA.
Interesting that Happ only made NBC's third team.
Agree with wades about Sam continuing to be underrated. If he's 100% healthy, he will be our best player IMHO. And if he is healthy the next two years, he is more likely to be an NBA player than Markus.
Obviously, none of this preseason stuff really matters but it's always interesting conversation fodder.

Lazar was last seen playing in Venezuela in 2016-2017 , Appears as if he did not play anywhere last year. Hopefully he can find something this year. Would be great if he was in G League, at least we could enjoy some of his highlights.
