Getting Killed underneath. Barro is useless. Abysmal shooting. Remind anybody of MSU last year. This is atrocious.
we're playing down to the competition just like we did at the beginning of the season. we can't keep this up during the second half, or we'll be lucky to break 35. granted, louisville is not the worst team we've played, but this game is one of the worst i've seen all season.
I wouldn't say we're playing down to our competition. Louisville is finally healthy and will be a good team. We will never be consistently good without an inside option. We live and die from the outside.
I agree, same ol same ol
We lose a game and first time posters come in droves. We annihilate Notre Dame, these posters are never to be found.
Same ol same ol indeed.
We've shot terribly tonight, that's why we are losing. Plenty of good shots, most not falling. OH, and meanwhile if UL wins they will be in first place.
Missed most of the game but getting blownout is most disappointing. Since we haven't made a 3, I guess I am not surprised.

We've missed dunks, layups, 5 footers...it's been an equal opportunity miss shot night. Some of them halfway down and out, others just bricks. Either way, couldn't buy a basket.
Tough game on Sunday, DJ hurt again.
face it..
this was embarassing.
good teams, especially teams that average 80 per game, ought to be able to find some kind of offense.
what, didn't we think a zone was coming????
MU lost this game, loovile didn't overwhelm-- but I do think they played with a chip on their shoulder as a team with something to prove.
an awful performance for a team that is supposed to be 13th in the country.
shake it off guys and take care of UConn
bleech
:P
You need balance to compete at this level and we don't have it. Teams that have big, quick big men will give us problems all season because one of our big weapons, Lazar Hayward, is utterly ineffective against them. He is a 2/3 playing out of position at the 4.
Same story as almost any of our losses. We don't defend or rebound well, so we don't get any offense out of our defense. We don't get any offense out of our defense and we struggle to score points period. We need to be better at turning up our defensive intensity when we are not playing well offensively, not the other way around. We can usually get away with it at home. On the road its a completely different story.
Anyway, get a win Sunday and then fatten up a little at home for the next couple weeks.
Same old, same old is right.
People keep incredulously asking "what did I just witness?" when what they witnessed was all too familiar:
-Lazar Hayward is the catalyst. As he goes, we go. He comes out fired up vs. ND, sets the tempo, and we win by 25+. He shoots 2-9 tonight, can't get it going, and we get smoked at Freedom Hall, which leads to point 2:
-If we're going to struggle on the road like this, I'm going to keep flipping to Vandy-Tennessee. I don't understand how this team could perfectly duplicate their effort vs. West Virginia, but they did it tonight. I felt like I was watching the same game, except for the fact that Louisville tried to keep us in the game.
-Clearly, if you don't hit one 3 in today's game, you're way behind the 8-ball before you even start.
One other thought -- if DJ has to miss extended time, we'll suffer, but we won't be as bad as you think, and still should be favored over UConn. Acker can run this team, make key buckets, and distribute the ball well.
Bottom line -- we'll be fine, especially with DePaul and USF coming up at home, but this was an ugly loss.
We have one dimension...easy to defend if you put a hand in our face on the perimeter. Crean and co looked pretty bad. Ofer from 3 is unreal.
Wow. National television and another massive whuppin for Crean. KU, MSU and now this when we could have made a statement and picked up some serious momentum with a road win. We were exposed bigtime. Huggy and Pitino my hat goes off to ya.

MU will not and should not be favored at UConn. Haven't done enough on the road at WVU or UL to warrant being a road favorite at a decent team right now.
That being said, MU certainly has a shot Sunday with or without James. And tonight was the easily MU's most frustrating loss since last year's NC2a tourney.

...if only we'd played more games on national TV since 2003? I believe you're leaving out a couple of wins. Every team has bad games. A lot of times it comes on national TV. It happens. Deal with it.
Big wins on National TV:
1.) Pitt @ home: College Game Night telecast
2.) @ Pitt: CBS National Sunday afternoon telecast
3.) @ Louisville: ESPN Big Monday
4.) 'Nova @ home: ESPN Big Monday
BTW - All these games were last year. Also, the tournament game against MSU was a regional telecast.

I didn't think crean looked bad. I don't know where you saw these shots with a hand in our face. I think crean called plays and the players executed them well enough to have open shots. Most of those three's were open. Tons of 6 foot and closer shots open and missed. Missed dunks etc. If a third of those were going in it would have changed the entire game, we would have been up at half time. I don't know how a coach can possibly look good in a game where his players consistently miss open shots.
