Just visited Gonzaga with my daughter. Very nice school. It seems like a lot of money is flowing in to it. It was interesting how pro Gonzaga the people of Spokane were, seemingly different than Milwaukee and Marquette.
My daughter is being offered a good amount of money to attend, so it is in the running. Anyone have thoughts on Gonzaga? Thanks in advance.

The few people I know who have gone there have liked it. Spokane is in the middle of nowhere though, which is part of the reason why they love the school so much. Really the only gig in town.
But you know your daughter. If she is more of a "cosmopolitan" person, she'd probably be bored. If not, she'll be fine. She'll get a good education regardless. It is well thought of.
Washington is a great state and the PNW in general is breathtaking
Thanks for the feedback. I echo the boring thoughts about Spokane. The campus is nice and getting better but MU seems to be better.
One of my brothers went to Gonzaga ('88) and absolutely loved it. Coincidentally, another of my brothers moved to an area about 25 minutes from Gonzaga about five years ago and loves it.

Beautiful area.
It is a nice area but we're a bit spoiled since we are in Colorado. University of San Diego is the only place the she likes more than Colorado so far. Milwaukee might be a tough sell but I can hope. Villanova is another option; that would make for 2 tough days a year. Root for MU or my money?

My daughter is at Georgetown, so I can relate. In basketball, the answer to that question is easy: root for MU. Actually, the answer is easy for all sports but VB: root for MU. And, come to think of it, I guess it's easy for that one too, just the opposite.
